We did Keith's car tonight.
Claybar, and 2 coats of Zaino Z-5.

ATTENTION EVERYONE PLANNING TO ZAINO

You need lots of towels. I used 14 on my car.
We used 11 on Keith's but we didn't do the Z6 coat. Z6 is about 3 towels per coat.

I highly suggest everyone bring at least 12-14 towels for their own car.
Costco - 24pack of 16"x16" = $10 (These are what I used for mine an Keith's)

I'll take some to... if you dont mind. I would like to get my car clayed and waxed soon to. I baught a clay bar a couple months ago, just have not had the time to do it. but one of these days I would like to, and at that price I might as well get them now.

Erica, you sound like my mom. While in Maui my mom's sister was staying with her and ask my mom to take her to her favorite place to eat. They ended up at Costco eating hot dogs, probably much to my aunts disappointment. My mom told me her sister was probably hoping to end up at some expensive restaurant but my mom LOVES those hot dogs.

uh, well..the Z6 didn't work very well, just left a cloudy haze over the freshly Z5'd surface. We started with Z6 on the hood, but I was very dissapointed with the haze, so we stopped and did another coat of Z5 instead.

I'm happy with how the 2 coats turned out, but didn't realize how it would make my rock chipped front stand out even more. That is disapointing....didn't even realize my hood was so bad. I knew my lower bumper was horrible....

I definately need a couple more coats of Z5, as well as your assistance Jedi on the Z6. Cesar and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working for us. I think we decided on doing what we did last night, because we both realized it may have taken all of us all day to do my car on Saturday...and that wouldn't have been real fair for everyone else.

So, at this point...looks like I am buying one pack of Costco towels for me, and three more sets (Speed, Lesper & Jedi)...anyone else?

I'll be trying to locate a good hose tonight at Costco as well.

Keith: I'll take a set of towels as well. (as if I don't already have enough of these things!!) Oh well, can't pass up a deal like that.

Z6 was leaving a haze?! huh?! That's really weird! Don't worry, we'll get it all fixed on Saturday. Did the Z5 help cover up some of those swirl marks? I think we'll work Z5 into your car this weekend and then maybe just do one coat of Z2 the weekend before SS9 or something. (Z2 is shinier then Z5)

Yeah, the only downside to polishing your car like that is that it will make rock chips stand out a bit but just focus on how cool the rest of your car looks!

Edit: I type to slow. Keith beat me to it.

Well, we definitely need your Jedi powers.
We did the wash/claybar/wash. No problems.
Then we did the Z-5, no problem.
Then we tried the Z-6. Sprayed on, tried to wipe it off immediately, and just had a haze on the paint that we couldn't get rid of.
We only sprayed the hood w/ Z-6.
I tried several times to remove the haze, but it wouldn't go away.
We put the Z-6 aside and did another coat of Z-5.
There is still a visible haze on some parts of his hood.
I'm hoping it will go away w/ some more Z-5 and hopefully the Z-6 & Z-2.
As I said, it's only on his hood, so we could always claybar the hood again and start that part from scratch.
I'm not sure what we did wrong. I did it on my car, and had no issues.
Of course, the haze would be impossible to see on yellow.

I took several pictures, I'll look through them, and see if any of them show the haze. It's not totally obvious, but it is noticeable.

The only thing I can think of is that the towels weren't drying the surface off completely for some reason.

Worse case scenario, we just clay the hood.

Yeah, I don't like the GT-V's either, but thought I would post em up for your review. Kind of boring and pricey.

Wallpaper looks nice (how could it not, with such a beautiful 7)....did you notice that two of your pictures got included on the "Free Calendar" site? That is cool.

They are not GOLD.

It's the reflection from the Yellow 8 they installed them on.

No buyers eh?

just thought, since Jessie is in the build-up of his life, that I would post some pics of his ride.....in the many stages that I have seen it in....

Casey, or Jessie, you'll have to post some of when it was white, with the white/black hood.

Would you be able to get a 3 rotor engagement ring? Street Port?

@SnowFl8k - I think we were talking about this, but I don't remember.
If it wasn't you, then I have too many nerdy friends.
Warning - Extremely nerdy stuff!!!
