[QUOTE=Jedi54]40% chance of rain...QUOTE]

that makes 100% chance of doughnuts...either on the track, or at 9:00 when Jorge and Loren bring them. I would like a chocolate bar ...or two.

Lol... thanks Casey. Lunch on me Saturday?

Is number 23 taken?
If it is I'll take 11.
If that's taken I'll take 12.

Yeah! And no rain! Don't want to have to fight rain on my first Auto-X expirience

I don't think there is an official rule about umbrellas on course. I would think if conditions were bad enough it wouldn't be a problem. The main factor is if you can safely do the job while holding the umbrella, I think you could.

I've only done one practice event in the rain on street tires. I was surprised how quick I was still able to take corners. The main issue was standing water in the higher speed sections... hydroplaning is not cool.

well jedi suggested the farmer boys that they use for the San Berdo meets but i do not know of any donut places in the area, keith, erica you want to help us out. Maybe we meet somewhere else...i dont like the farmer boys because it is dificult to get to from the freeway and there are always lots of big trucks around.

Lesper,

You and Krazi pick a place for breakfast and I'll be there. (assuming my Navigation doesn't get me lost in the process...)

I will be on mine rain or shine. They are fine at autox speeds, still better than street tires, the bad part is the drive to the track.

Jesse interviews someone that is coming in for a job.... Vipers, why doy oui have to be there? I just spoke with my dad and he said he is going to be there...... it takes two of you?

Ullose, maybe "street slicks" are differant from the real slicks we ran on the race car???? the slick I am used to are the worse thing you can think of driving on in the rain. makes it like ice. if it rains, maybe ill TRY the tires you gave me. I was really looking forward to trying them on a nice dry day though.

allwell, I will have fun either way.

The Kumho V710 does not need heat like a race slick to work. Most events you will see us spraying our tires with water to cool them off. The only part they have a problem with is standing water. It would be a good idea to drive to the event on your streets then change them. Dont be dumb like me and drive on the freeway on a treadless tire in the rain, after all I am a pro and it is a closed course.
I know many people that went off road going to and from an event in the rain on race tires.
I am just lazy and hate to change tires at the track.

I already intended on driveg there on the Axis, and changing wheels there.

yeah I did notice with the V710's the tread wear is 30!!!!! WAY softer then the circle track tires we used. circle track tires are intended to last 50 laps or so of continuous abuse and heat. they also dont work well untill you get heat in them. (unlike the super soft V710's)

I am still very suprised that you have good luck with them in wet weather, the super soft compound helps a little, but in water you really get your grip from the sipes, and rotational grooves. but then again..... V710's are a tread ware of 30!!!!!!!!! I still cant get over how soft they are. ......... true auto cross tires!
