With an aftermarket shifter you have to run STU, BSP or SM.

With an aftermarket shifter you have to run STU, BSP or SM.We seem to be very limited on mods that will keep us in B-Stock.
On the plus side, I guess that speaks highly of what a great car this is, straight off the lot.
And, in the long run, it will save me money if I decide to autox.

shwing was my favorite...takes me back to those Wayne's World days on SNL.
Claudia Shiffer....Shwing
Ahhhhh, SHort Shifter SHipped...congrats Snowfl8k for guessing, and for Cesar. Now you truely will have the shortest shifter of the bunch, with the smaller shift **** as well. I'llbe interested to hear your feedback when we are at the autocross in January.
On Ulllose comment, how the heck do they know if your shifter (or other things for that matter) are not stock. I would assume that it would be relatively easy to check intake, exhaust and suspensions components (shocks, sways, coils)...but a shifter....how do they check that.
If they really are that thorough Cesar, you'll be able to change back to stock in less than 10 minutes. I changed Snowfl8k's shifter in the parking lot at our last meet. 10 minutes to do the whole thing....just be careful of the tab (I know KC broke his..but I got a great hint off the forum that will help you avoid breaking the little tab...and the rattle that will come with it if you break it).

In an nut shell things you can do in stock class:
DOT R tires any size that fits the wheels.
Wheels stock diameter and width. +/- 1/4" of offset allowed.
Cat back exhaust.
Air filter element may be removed or replaced. Airbox can not be modified.
Shocks, must be within +/- 1" overall length and spring pearch must be in stock location. You may have two adjustments on the shock.
Front swaybar may be removed or replaced, also front swaybar bushings and endlinks.
Alignment settings may be changed.
Spark plugs, wires and coils are open.
That is about it. Helps keep the cost down.
You really dont need a better shifter... I have only been to one event in the RX8 that I had to shift more than once.

imho I think cheating even at a local event is WEAK. I make sure if I know that someone is cheating I make them feel like crap by kicking thier @ss with my legal car and then rubbin it in. Nothing better than knowing some guy has a cheated up car and still cant get it done.

I wanted the shifter for the drives I take on my own.
I didn't think it would do much in autox.

I've removed the center console so many times, I'm not worried about any of the those pieces.

Oh, and the comment about the shortest shifter was not a shot at all, just referring back to our conversation at the last meet you were at where you had commented that the shift **** made it feel like a short shifter since it was lower.

D1 event Dec 15th and 16th....oh, I so wanna go. Gotta check the calendar when I get home. There's a new thread about it in the CA regional section. Not much info other than ticket info and a general idea of the events. But from what I've seen of these events on tv, should be a fun day. Who's with me (Snowfl8k..can we go, can we please)

Meshell and I have been to a drift event (Formula D). that was ALOT of fun. TV just does not do it justice. when you see those cars kick sidways in real life, it takes your breath away! (at least if they are pros, I have seen some ammatures, and it is not nearly as fun!)
MeShell, are we doing anything on the 15/16th?
EDIT:
15/16th are week days...... we work..... what the hell are they doing having drift events on a week day.

Speeddemon you already for got that we are leaving the 16th to Vegas and we aren’t going to be back until 18th. We could see about the 15th but the 16th is always the best.
O' thanks for telling us about the star I don't know what time we are going to be back on Sunday. We are pretty busy now. I'll have to talk to speeddemon and find out if we could even do it. Ok I have to get going. Bye

Anyone have a picture of caribbean_spice_boy's car from the side.
I'm looking for a picture of his lambo doors open, and from the side looking through the car.
I have pics of the doors open, but they are pics taken from a slight angle.
I want it directly from the side to show how much the doors open.
If you do, please post it, or pm it to me.
Thanks.

You've got to be kidding me. I hope you are just messing around with her. we all know what happend to snowfl8ks "dash kit" thread.
if your not kidding, yeah, its just for looks. no it does not replace anything, nor does it make the car 2 punds lighter. it goes over the stock parts.
as one person put it in another thread..... "its a sticker". although it's not a sticker. a sticker is..... well a sticker. these sick or glue on, and are not removable.at least i would not want to try removing it.

Thank you for the one close up shot, cause I was getting nervous about the coloring in the bigger shots. It was starting to look a little pinkish to me. The close up shows the true color.....ahh, what a relief. I don't know how much I will get installed prior to tonight, but I at least want to get the center part of the dash, and maybe the overhead sections. Of course, I will be posting pictures. I am going to start another dash kit thread and see the forum thugs come out again.
Oh it is so much fun. I bet Mugatu will be the first to talk cr#p.
As for Cesar's request, dont think I have ever had a chance to snap a direct side shot. People tend to want to park close to Carribean, maybe because they want to get a part of their cars in the magazine shots or something. I think you have seen mine from the sevenstock day, that is probably the closest I have.
