The official 626 SGV Meet Thread!!!!!!!!!!
hee hee. ok, whatevers liyan.
anyway, again its rather boring to hear your approach and preaching.
really, i just don't want to hear it from you at the meet. i'm having personal stress and i really don't feel like hearing you clear yourself on your mod.
you like your mod, then do it. if you have strong debateable opinions... so yourself to the suspension thread. don't judge my background and experience if you want to be ignorant about it.
if you feel more than capable of yourself... just show your work and don't ask about it.
please , keep your personal opinions and disagreements to yourself at this point.

ugh, after polishing the hood on my beamer yesterday i realized that the body shop did a horrendous job re-painting it after my last fender bender. it looks like a lot of the scratches/ swirls might be on the base coat beneath the clear coat, which means, those are never going to come out without a repaint. <sigh> oh well, it's an old car.
that's why the factory paint job is and will always be THE best paint job your car will ever have and is worth protecting/ saving...

wasssup
What's up guys! Been a while since I was in the forums. Just finished moving to Pasadena, so hopefully I can make it to the meets now. Although my bumper's still hanging from the wheel incident. Just wanted to say wassup to the 626 8s.
Stoptech Brakes
Hey, what do you guys think about the Stoptech Stage 2 upgrade for the RX8? I need to get my brakes replaced soon (in a few weeks) and my mechanic quoted me $850 for the stage 2 upgrade installed. Is that a good price? anyone know any issues with these brakes?
I think it includes:
4 slotted rotors
Stainless steel brakelines
brake pads (forgot what brand)
and brake flush - (motul brake fluid)
thanks for the input guys!

^stoptech is a pretty reliable brand. their stuff is proven. i don't have any experience with their products though.
oh btw..
there most likely will not be a meet this saturday. almost 90% of the regulars will be staying in a hotel by willow springs this weekend. (track day on sunday!)

great to hear you guys had a blast at track day!
and, sorry i couldn't make it... i had such a busy day saturday (2 birthday parties), that i just crashed after getting home. the "AU Meet" ended up just being matt & myself.
(biggest meet ever.) so, we drove over to JRX to hang out with Liyan for about an hour and then split. got home around 12:30am & fell asleep on the sofa... woke up around 3am then realized we are meeting at 5:30am?! too tired to try drive through angeles crest. so texted the guys not to wait for me & i went back to sleep and woke up at like 1pm.
factor in 1.5 hour drive time -if- i were to head up there, and i gave up... <sigh>
