cuz- if it's just scuff mark on the clear coat layer, it can probably be buffed out with a good detail... honestly- i get rid of those kinda scuffs/ scratches on my cars all the time with my porter cable & sonus polishes.

but, if the scratch goes beneath the clear coat into the base coat exposing the metal, then it depends how big the cut is. if it's small- i usually just use touch-up paint.

the factory paint job on your vehicle is THE best paint job it will EVER get in its lifetime- EVER. no body shop can get their paint on as even, as smooth, and baked on at the 800º+ that the manufacturer paint facilities do. and, because of that, after market repainting really should be a last resort... but, it's up to you.

 

no offense leon but i don't see anything wrong with it. If the other guy is paying for the damage then take the money and use it elsewhere. If it is white mark it can be easily be remove by using scratchX or just buff it out using wax or something. I do it all the time. But ya i don't think it is worth taking it to a shop and let them damage it when there aren't any work that needs to be done. Well drive up this weekend so i can see it in person. If there is a dent i think jerry can tell you where to get it fix but as from the picture it doesn't look like it is damage

 

Agree with Gerry; I see repainting as a last resort. Especially on a black car since black cars are very easy to touch up.

 

I already told you that I took the car to M1 and the Guys suggested that I replace it, because you can't see it from the pictures doesn't mean it's there. I didn't want to post pictures in the first place cuz when I took them I realized that you can't see them. This is my car and I drive it everyday I think I would know what kind of damage it is. I will be replacing this bumper regardless, I don't think I will take the money either because I do want a new bumper. According to M1, it will never be the same unless I replace it, that sounds good to me cuz it ain't coming out of my pocket. He's getting me the M-tech, I'm a happy camper.

 

ah ok... If u were planning on an aftermarket bumper anyways then it sounds like u got this in the pocket.

man, one thing i wanted to mention was there was this older dude in his 40's-50's in a yellow el camino with some beefy tires and an aggressive sounding big block. i was making a left on las tunas from mr. shabu and had to gun it. so me having a straight pipe, i'm pretty sure i had some flame action. i pull up to the light before walnut grove and he pulls up next to me revving the hell out of his car. i'm sitting there with my girlfriend, is this guy stupid? so i make a right onto walnut grove and he does a 3 lane change and follows me. he pulls up next to me and starts revving, trying to take off on me, keeping his car in high revs. all the way down to valley. well i didn't race him or anything, but i was pretty entertained at first then annoyed. well that was a meaningless digression from the thread but since you guys are local i figured i'd give some you guys a heads up. has anyone else in the area scene this car? i've seen it twice on las tunas, like he's looking for a race almost everything time. the second time i saw him i was in my truck and he was pulled up next to a 350z, again revving!

 

Nah I haven't seen that guy. Most likely a 427 in it. That guy is bad news. btw, for all of you guys:

dude, it's just amazing man. i only played the demo but the full release is out now. it's pretty crazy on expert. it's freaky when you play with the lights off and the speakers blasting. zombies come out randomly and never come out the same place twice. nuts! personal fav is the the auto shotgun and sniper rifle! think counter strike meets dawn of the dead/28 weeks later! pure mayhem!

 

damn. i wanna play the demo. i can't find it on steam.. any help?
