What did I miss at Racing Beat today? I'm trying to decide if I feel bad for sleeping in...

It was cool. Tour of facility, saw a vid of an RX-7 flipping at 230+ mph, etc.

If you are interested in their products it was something you should have seen otherwise, nothing was really missed.

 

It was nice of Racing Beat to even have this on their own time and money... with the support of all that was involved, it wasn't bad at all.

Got to see how they run their business, and make their products. You can clearly tell that Racing Beat is a company that knows Rotary! If they make an Exhaust, they will surely make it work for the most HP possible. I'm impressed overrall with their setup.

So is there another meet this Thursday again? Shall we try In N Out on Valley View Bld. this time instead of the Starbucks? At least this way, when Robert shows up, he can get some Grub on.

 

I usually skip dinner and wait for the meets, just in case we end up at fullerton and need a reason for the cops to leave us alone. But the In-N-Out sounds good... If I can remember how to get there...

 

same thing.. just exit Valley View Bld instead of Beach... turn right... it'll be on your left side... it's about 1 mile closer for you.

 

hmmm do you guys want to change it? ....i think we should meet ther and then cruz after everyone arrives....ppl are gonna get confused and end up ther without us if we change the meet spot... pluss its always fun to cruz to N and Out =).............we should also find another cruz spot. somewher worth the drive...and a chill place.......anyone got an idea?

 

Cool w/ me. Meet at starbucks and then cruise to the next spot. But we need to give a time that we leave to go to the next spot, since Nick is always later than the rest :P Maybe update the first post to say, "we leave at 11:00 to go to In-N-Out on whatever-the-address-is".

 

how many people show up at the weekly orange county meets? i would like the make the drive if there are a lot of rx8's modded up, btw, are the OC ppl still doing the monthly saturday meets?

 

Usually 4-7 cars show up. Last week we had 7 I believe. Sometimes more. Most of the people either goes to the Tustin meet or the South Bay on saturdays.

Pretty much stock for me. But the other members have stereo systems, LED undercarriage, exhausts..etc.

its always fun to just hang out. i dont think ppl come to the meet for the cars. i think the usuals just come to talk and hang out every week. seems like everyone has something to talk about. last week we talked about Cho's collection of Toys! ( u know ur saving me one
transformer and that silver MS model right~! =) umm we talked about some lisence plate i deas.....and then some random crap....thers always something to talk about.....like....how i dont check my oil! lol btw i need to changed my oil. who wants to help me tomorow! thuesday... cho didnt u do urs? pm me ur cell. i might need ur experience...

 

I haven't changed oil on this car, since I had Oil change as part of the purchase of the car... so it's free as long as I am covered under warranty. I do have to pay for all the other junks.

Btw, there is a Red Transformer Jazz now.. hmm Red/White...

Um. I've changed mine, and need to change it again. I can't do it tomorrow, though.

 

Don't have the Transformers yet... they are going to be available in Japan at the end of this month or something.. and by the time it is shipped to me, it's another month by boat. Not sure if I want to buy another case of the red. It's about $75-85 each... expensive buggers.

 

lol, ur gonna makes a lot out of that anyways. u should know....i was playing with roberts RC car at the mazda service center while i waited for them to finish my oil change to Royal Purp, robert was all trippin about the full syn voiding my warranty lol, it was funny. but eh. i dont care its in the car now, and later on tonight imma do my tranny fluid to RP =) (my car feels smoother at idle now_! i like it, cant wait till my tranny is done)

 

So who's going to make it tonight? I'm sure some people will arrive at 10pm... until 11pmish.. then we can head to In-N-Out.

Gotta go to class now until 10... seeya guys around then. Make the plans someone...

I'll try and remember to bring some of the RX-8 toys.

 

Work really makes me tired early. I need to be back by midnight or so, but I still plan on showing, even if I am risking getting hit by another bloody rock.
