You can't tune without one!

The more people sign up, the less the dyno and the tune cost.
I think, as it stands, its $110 each for the tune and $115 for the dyno.
If you sign up, it goes down to $95 and $100 or so.

Keep in mind that my normal dyno tune rate is $300.

I'm also not sure about the dyno cost - I think the organizer has allotted for more time for the tuning people compared to the "dyno only" people, but that might get shifted around a bit as more people come on line.

MM are you able to tune cars other than the 8? I have a friend with an '05 Xterra who wants to come and get a dyno + tune. Would you be able to tune this? If so, how much would it cost him for both? Thanks.

If you guys have friends that what there car dyno tested with AFR that is fine and it will help bring down the dyno cost for everyone who is getting tunned. The dyno only cost stays the same 3 pulls for $50.

Well, since it's going to cost me over $400.00 to get dyno tuned (I bought my AP directly from the factory), that was the killer for me. I'll just wait for Steve Kans' visit to San Jose on Sept., to get Dyno tuned from him, and it's local.

Kan charges a minimum of $300, and that's just the one tune.

I know he has a chip though. I will ask him what mods he has and then get back to you.

Why will it cost over $400 to get it tunned by MM on aug 2nd? Your tune cost is $150 plus the dyno which should be $100 or less. Thats a total of $250.

The only way it would be more then $400 is if you by the MM tunning package for $250 plus the dyno day cost of $200 but you dont have to buy the MM tunning package it just saves you a little for the dyno day tune.

Because he's not an MM customer. He would have to pay for the Calibration Service and then pay his share.
Or, he can just sign up for the non MM purchase tune like we discussed for people that might show with Int-X or some other engine management.
Probably a better deal, actually.

I think we should get a tentative time table going to see how many time slots we have left and when to get there.

Basically, it should alternate between tuned and dyno-only people to allow me to get road tests with everyone that has the AP.
Any FI applications should go to the end since they can take a bit more time.

The shop said they would prefer to run all the dyno only guys first and get them out of the way but if you want to alternate we can do that to. Besides it sounds lke a better idea. Its our dyno for the day so we can do things the way you want.

I think we should group everyone in either the morning or the afternoon and try to get the FI guys at the end like MM says. Lunch is from 12:30-1:30. Dyno starts at 9AM and closes at 6PM.

If anyone has a limited time they can be there please let me know and I will schedule accordingly.

Anyone who has FI please let me know.

So again to recap for any non-MM AP customers who are thinking about getting a tune, the cost is $150 plus your share of the dyno which is at $110 right now but drops with the addition of new people.

I'll be working through lunch and I suggest that folks start getting to the dyno by 8am.
Hopefully, they don't pull the shades on us at 6pm.

I prefer cash and there is no way this thing is going to 11pm.
But, if it does, I'm there.

Wait so this event may be going on longer than 5:30pm? If it is, that would be great because then I could come right after work at around 5:30pm, which would make my day easier since I wouldn't have to rush to be there since I have work starting at 11:00am.

I will need to talk to the shop abut going past 6PM. Remember we are renting the dyno by the hour so even if they let us go late it is not going to be free. $100 per hour.
