i did a cruz threw malibu today. i took the same rout as last time. i just went a lot slower, ok more then usual. i had my friend and her daughter so it was more of a sunday drive. no pic's since it was not about me. but we did see a seal play around at the last place we stop at in ventura. anyway i had a good run..

I did the same thing on friday afternoon on my way to santa maria, shot throgh malibu and went up the coast. i skipped stunt but took the rest at a fast not cruise speed. Had my wife and daughter with me so i wanted them to experince what i have done to some degree. i posted some pictures form the trip (not in malibu) in solvang in the san berdo thread.

Sorry I vanished for a while but as some know, I moved out to Newport Beach and started a new school full time. I managed to find the time to check in today and to my surprise...Its still going!
So, What do you guys say?! Wanna set up another Malibu Run? for old times sake?

In the time i have been gone, i have aquired 2 dents and a smashed bumber (Some *** hole slammed into me in the parking garage and took off.... ). On the other hand, I got me a new toy, 1977 Honda CB550 Motorcycle. I have been doing the malibu cruses with that lately :c)

Thought you died, or sold the 8 around the same time you got that old Chevy and changed schools. Glad to see your alive.

I ran my last Malibu run a little while back. I brought out some of the guys from the San Bernardino area and had some fun. Xped had quite a scare, check out the video from the last meet...I was just behind him.

Good to hear from you Dan... Hope you get your car fixed, but don't feel too badly though. Seems as though a lot of us have been having some bad luck w/ body stuff lately. Me, w/ my rock chips, Jorge w/ windshield, sunroof, and side mirrors, Keith with his bumper etc. etc. We all love driving, so there's no way we're going to have showroom, mint-condition cars...

we have the San Bernardino meet this coming Saturday, as well as an autocross the following Saturday if anyone is interested.

 

Adictive!!! Wow, glad you're still alive and kicking. I had started to think you were just cruising around in your Chevy these days.

The Malibu Cruise had started losing steam every month so Keith threw together what was known as "The Last Malibu Run". It seemed to be a good turnout since some of the San Bernardino guys came out to Malibu as well.

I'd still be up for a cruise, just probably not a monthly one any more. How about we do one next month before the rainy season hits us and we'll keep this going every other month or every 2 months after that?

What else is new with you? Any new mods? How's the Nos? How's Newport treating you? etc etc....

For those of you that were at the August Malibu run, go to the section labeled "DigiDrink - Action Sports".

There is a video called "Chasing The Touge". It's about underground canyon racing.
I thought I saw some footage of Malibu, but I wasn't sure. Then, at about 1:25mins, there is a guy w/ a mini talking/driving. It's the guy we saw w/ the tricked out mini.

lol.. first and third cars were fc rx7s..sweet! i love canyon driving "touge"... but i never push it as hard as they do! i start to slide once, my **** puckers, and i slow way the hell down.. they push it harder after it slides

i just installed the rp high flow cat, havent really thought of my next mods. i might paint my rims gold next...maybe...not sure yet though.

The sb meet is the 2nd sat of each month. Hows the noise increase with the rp cat?

 

i'm debating on new stuff for the 8, or try to fix up the s-10 blazer i now have. already put an engine in, but the truck looks bad. only fixed it so i would not have rack so many miles on the 8 so fast...

 

that is a lot of driving in on month you sure everyone is up to it? gas prices are falling slowly though. I remember almost a year ago (my frist trip to Malibu) gas prices were 2.68. now they are 2.99 getting closer

 

i don't worry about the price of gas too much. i remember when it was going above .50 cents a gallon everyone complained. so i won't worry about the price, remember some of the mods we do could buy gas for almost a year..

 

theres a definate increase in sound. its easily noticeable. i love it, sounds much more throatier than before but still manages to sound smooth.
