Damn this thread went completly dead. Is this getting to the point where we are loosing interested in this cruise or is just people are getting tired of the long drives?

 

I'm down for it - someone's just gotta plan it out.

 

Don't know where Keith has been but how about the the first weekend of april sound? Either the 1st or 2nd depending if I have the day off?

sounds good for me too, looking to see you out there honda, i'll probably bring my FD next time too for you to see. ive gotten pretty good at the mulholland canyons too, especially the southern ones, like the stunt/schueren/piuma/cold cyn/mulholland loop

 

I can get more than 5 people to go as long as you don't care what they're driving.

Nah, just a bunch of Scion tCs. :P I don't know anyone with a Metro anymore.

1st weekend of april sounds good to me. we should just keep an eye open for the weather conditions.

 

Yeah, I am. A bunch of our tC club members (myself included) used to go on Malibu cruises all the time, so I know they'd be down to go. Especially cause at least one is gonna be getting an RX-8 soon. Don't worry, if they go, I'll make sure they're at then end not slowing you guys down.

 

We'd like to keep this a Rotary Only meet as much as possible.

yeah they're trying to make it a car specific meet thats why, like detrich said, its important we keep an eye out for weather, if it rains thats definatley a cancellation(and its likely considering its rain season) its way too dangerous to be driving on narrow canyon roads aggressively in the rain, even for skilled canyon drivers.

 

I don't have a problem with it, I only said it cause you guys seemed concerned about getting people to go. I'm just eager to get involved in the RX-8 scene locally, so I hope this or some other event happens anyway...

 

Locally, do you mean SD? If so, there is an autocross event next weekend at Qualcom. It would be free to park and watch the event.

 

I'm open for anything in SD, OC, LA. Anyone going to the Autocross event next weekend?

I'd like to come down and do this cruz with you guys, but first week of April probably won't work out. And it would probably be a good idea to wait until May for me. I'd hate to plan it out, drive all the way to So.Cal, and it start raining. I'll make it happen sometime soon though.
