I took my car in for an oil change and they said they flashed my car with the latest flash but when I looked at my work order it stated - "reprogramed power control module - internal failure" - Any ideas what the heck that means? - Called the service dept but they had all left for the day. Is there a check like there was for the 'L' flash that I can do? I drove home and didn't notice any difference in power or smoothness. I turned my CZ Stage 1.1 off before going in for the flash and have yet to turn it back on until I know more about whether I actually received the 'M' flash or not. Thanks in advance for any help.

Now that's a pisser! How did they fix that???
They offered to buff it out, and I said 'OK' cuz I was pissed and just wanted them to fix it. Now you can't see the scratch, but I'm nervous about how much clearcoat the guy might have wound up scraping off to bring the fender down flush with the scratch.

Spoke with the service dept. this morning. He said it is serv. protocol to put the customer complaint, the actual problem, and resolution on the serv. write-up. So in my case the write-up said, hard engine start, internal failure, reprogrammed pcm. He told me that the car was updated with the 'M' flash according to the serv. agent who took care of the car. That its the only flash that they have. It's not on my receipt or on a sticker inside the engine compartment and from what I understand there is no way to check for the update like you can with the brake test on the 'L' flash. If anyone knows any different please let me know. Frank in the serv. dept seems like a stand up guy so essentially I'm taking his word on it.

I have a blue sticker on my driver side door panel, where other stock stickers are found too. It writes when it was flashed and what version. Last letter says "M". I got so excited that I decided to do the brake test. Turns out, 20 brake taps didn't do it. I think I went up to 25 or 30 before the needle started sweeping. But it did sweep! That was the very first time I have seen it sweep! It kinda reminds me of the STi startup :D

I took my first 2 drives in moderation because I have read here that after a map reset, it takes two drives for the ECU to relearn your driving habits. I basically drove two types of driving styles that are most prominent in my daily driving: stop and go to cruise 45mph and spirited to cruise to 60mph on a highway with few traffic lights.

I did not get any sticker on my car for either the L or the M. My service write did provide printouts for me that stated my VIN and the software part numbers, N3HE*L**** and N3HE*M***.

Can you guys tell me where you are going to get these reflashes done if you are anywhere near OC or Ventura county. I swear i have called 6 dealers most of them say "i dunno what that is" and the others say "you have to bring it in and we'll do tests to see if you need it" i'm tired of their bullshit it's really annoying. They all get paid no matter what they do and it's an easy job so why does it matter?
