plans for first meet:
-9p.m.~9:30ish for both clubroadster and rx8club members on 1st meet.
-10~11p.m. arcade (optional)
-11p.m.~11:30 weiland bar/lounge...for food and drinks (21yr+ optional)

if you're still around after that, there's a few ramen places (i.e. koraku ramen)

*of course those that prefer to be in lil tokyo pre-meet, there's a japanese bookstore on 2nd&san pedro that sells japanese car mags and gifts. (kinokuniya bookstores)

Little Tokyo is like 10 to 15 min from me... and, the food there is great. i wouldn't mind going to a meet like this if enough of the 8 club members/ friends show up.

 

Did I hear Initial D-arcade action?!? Damn guess I have to go.

 

How far is Lil Tokyo from westwood?

 

about 12 miles maybe? without traffic it's about 20 mins...

revised: for the way we drive, 15 min?

*BUMP* must've missed this thread - i vote thursdays because the first weekend of the month i'm usually busy - Aside from that, i'm down for pretty much everything...

wing: hmmm...i like those arcade games, but arcade infinity at life plaza are much better. but we'll see if they got some new games

-i'm getting mixed demands from both forums. i'll check to see if there may be 2 days i can play with. my initial idea after seeing the demands on both sides replies are looking like- first saturday monthly for rx8/miata, and every thursday for ??? either car club.

will double check and see what i come up with on both. but looking good so far.
and from the way it looks, this meet set-up is looking like its gonna blow up, which is good considering the turn out from the recommendation grouping of rx8's with the roadster meets.

i think a few consistent followers will set the trend for a good long lasting meet. and if we get a few good meeters ( like boa... from the walnut) to grab a few of the 8's, this will be set. just gotta work out the days in stone writting.

will follow up and try to get started by feb. thanks for following the thread, and try to grab a few others ( more 8's the better). i'd like to see a majority rx8 meet over miata's.

 

oh, and did i mention there is a car accessory shop inside the plaza? that should catch some more interest. anyone in for a razo shift ****? hello kitty cup holder? toy models?

i was about to say i want to change my vote to a saturday meet because my thursdays just got packed

don't think that'll happen as they only have a parking attendant that i know of so far... and the few times i have gone there, we've hung around outside drinkin and having fun at the karaoke at that plaza.

trust me, its very low-key. we can even pound brews by the bridge( where i drank) and head in to the arcade...but i think it closes around 11pm.

i asked the parking attendent today, and he says there still is a fee for parking, but the first hour is free either way. and they stay open past 1pm for the karaoke... so no prob there, unless you be staying later than that for some reason.

 

^^just patronize and buy a drink or something at the karaoke shop or get a validation from the arcade...

dude, we can't all be that cheap? it doesn't cost that much to hang... and its practically just a few bucks tops to spare for one night...

it'll be a really good spot for those that haven't been there. its well worth it compared to being at some random mart parking lot with people just driving by and staring...

 

the roadster forums have more cars thats down to head down to this meet....which i started HERE! get more cars guys!

but anyways... the day feeler here for thurs/sat is a tie so far, and i have a 30% higher demand at the roadster forums for the saturdays for the 1st meet, soo...
