Adam = The guy in the brown sweater with the hat. It was nice to meet you all.

Yep, Jacob's RX-7 is damn fast. Now I really want to mod my car. It's time to peruse these forums and look for the best bang for the buck mods.

I just looked at a lot of the DIYs hoping for some simple mods to do to my car. I also poked around about lease/mod information. Basically, if I'm going to buy the car, I can mod it. Though, mods do void warranties for that particular system (doing exhaust will void warranty for emmissions and exhaust). But, I really like my car. Now, where's the best deal for the turbocharger?

Exhaust won't void anything.

If you get a turbo, are you going to install it yourself? Can I help!

Yah i'd like to help out with whoever needs some.. pretty mechanically inclined...

as i'm Mech engineer b.s. heh

should use this degree for something...

and about modding... the trick is just to get mods you can easily pull off before a trip to the dealers... hehe

yea exhaust will not void warranty. The dealership has seen my car with the intake, exhaust, and coilovers on, they didn't say a word...

too bad those don't exist.

don't try to mod your car because an rx7 is fast, you'll never catch up but a piggyback ems tuned n/a and the greddy turbo are probably the only mods that give you power. the greddy turbo being quite a bit more expensive but giving you 60whp at least.

by exhaust you mean midpipe right? in that case you are correct you're out of obdII regulation. whether or not you do a highflow cat or straightpipe you're breaking the law. don't **** with anything behind the axle and you'll be OK for 96+ cars. dont even bother with a catback you'll get 3 hp for 600 dollars.

Bryan- I saw a carbon fiber hood at sevenstock that had a cherry clear coat on it. From a distance, it looked red, but as you walked closer you could see the carbon fiber weaves. It look freaking hot!

gemini makes these, gemini has a good quality product, seibon is probably marginally better though, but they don't offer color kevlar weaves.

imo those colored kevlar pieces don't look great and i prefer regular carbon fiber but then again most people that don't know about cars think carbon fiber is ugly
