I ended up walking around a LOT and taking tons of pics. As in i walked most of the strip twice... =-O Plus went to a show on Friday night. When I was here for the Vegas meet last year, I didn't get a chance to really see things, so it was fun to do that this time. Plus being here around Halloween is crazy! The costumes are great!

I totally spaced on Sevenstock... D'oh! Hope you guys are having FUN!!

Anyway, i will try to make it next time.

 

It's running better. All the mechanical work was completed but the tuning did not seem to happen. I'm disappointed in the tuner but it is running fairly well.

 

You had Jeff tune it didn't you?

 

Yes Jeff was supposed to tune it but he was too busy to spend a proper time with it. Like I said, I am very disappointed. Ray is working on taking care of it with another tuner.

There are several overlay dash kits out there. The most reasonable is on Ebay. I went a combination of real carbon fiber replacement parts and overlay. The real carbon fiber is by far the better choice but could be expensive if you have a limited budget.

 

NOTICE: The first meeting of the WHiV5 crew will happen on November 11th about 8pm. We have not yet chosen a place to have it but I will post the location later this weekend

 

hey phil. i was wondering if you got the other fuel pump removal tool back yet. it seems that the one i got is to flimsy to tighten down the nut all the way to keep it from leaking.

 

No, he could not find it. I will try and have my crew make one this week. We are very busy so It may take a few days. I will call and pm you when I get it.

 

wow! doesn't seem like a small enough tool to borrow and easily "loose".

i'm real sorry to hear that phil. i really appreciate all you've done for us local 8 owners.

he should have to buy a replacement to compensate you in my mind.

 

I talked to my fab guy and he is going to try and get one out tomorrow. If he gets it done I will post it and you can come by and get it. It's actuall not that big just heavy. It is hard to loose but.......................

 

thank you so much phil. i still can't drive my car as of now due to it not sealing all the way. the o-ring is in good shape to. in the past 2 months ive driven my car about 10 times.

 

 

Are you telling me that the pump I loaned you is also leaking? I hope the tool is all we need.

i never installed the fuel pump you loaned to me. its in the same condition as when i took it from you. i'll bring it to you today if thats ok.

i got a used 09 fuel pump assembly that i had to make modifications to to fit. everything works perfectly and fits well except im not able to get the spin nut tight enough to keep the fuel from seeping out.

 

I hope the tool solved your problem....

Hay Drifthappens, I may have another object to aid in learning about tuning the 8. If you happen to come to the WHiV5 meet I will try to remember to bring it along.

 

havn't yet had the time to try it out yet phil. havnt been to bed yet since getting off work. i'll try to get it done before i head off to work tomorrow.
