Today leaving the meadows mall, a red rx-8 pulls up next to me. We check out each others cars momentarily, and both end up entering the freeway. We didn't race, but I was right behind him and were both driving quick. But anyways I was wondering if that was anyone from this forum. Had custom taillights and an exhaust from the sound of it.

It was great to cruise with another rx-8, thats always fun. I even tuned down the music so I can listen to the engine sounds.

What do you mean by custom taillights? I don't understand.. Do you mean smoked taillights?? But, did the red 8 have black rims? If so, it could be a buddy of mine. He has posted here before, not anymore though..

there's a button where your speed-o is. press and hold for two sec's.
it will reset, there's an A and B setting. press and release for one or the other.
press and hold to reset..

I've heard there can be problems with the 8's engine when it gets hot

 

I won't be attending any meets any time soon.. Once, I get my new RX8 and fix it up, then you should see me attending the meets. Until then, you guys need to do a local RX8 meet and take pictures all together.

 

I don't know who you heard that from, but I never had any problems with my 8 because of the heat. Got any pictures of your 8?

 

the taillights just looked more clear than mine.. unless it was just a newer model.. but it looked custom to me.. I don't have a clear memory of the rims. but they might have been black.. for sure I heard an exhaust.. sounded louder than mine.

I think, they might of been just newer taillights. No one has done any custom work on the lights. I'll be the first with custom molded headlights.

 

^Dude other people have smoked there tails and other stuff, just not in Vegas that I have seen any one with custom tails.
