Hi club,

Seeing as the Walnut meet has kind of died out, remaining regular attendees have proposed a new meet in the 626 Area. We have many locations in mind and would like to see what other rx8club members think of these possible locations.

Here is a description of each location:

1. Plaza with K-Mart, Denny's, and The Hat. Rosemead. Rosemead Blvd (HW 19) and Las Tunas Dr.

pros: Large parking lot, well lit, lots of food around
cons: Police station a few blocks away

2. Plaza with Yoshinoya, Applebee's, Starbucks. Rosemead/Temple City. Rosemead Blvd (HW 19) and Las Tunas Dr.

pros: Large parking lot, well lit, lots of food around. (same as above it is across the street)
cons: Police station a few blocks away

3. JRX Rotary. Baldwin Park. Arrow Hwy and Azusa Canyon Rd.

pros: Rotary TUNER/shop! we can work on cars there =]
cons: Few spaces for parking, not well lit

4. San Gabriel Super Store. San Gabriel. San Gabriel Blvd and Valley Blvd.

pros: Very big parking lot. well lit. Lots of restaurants (AU 79 Tea House)
cons: ricers hang around here sometime i think... yeahhh

5. Pavillions Plaza/99 Ranch Plaza. Arcadia. Baldwin Ave and Naomi Ave.

pros: LARGE parking lot. very well lit. lots of restaurants (Korean BBQ, Japanese food, AU 79 tea as well, starbucks, Ten Ren etc.)
cons: lots of speedbumps, wanksters hang around sometimes, arcadia cops are gay

6. Santa Anita Westfield Mall. Arcadia. Baldwin Ave and Huntington Dr.

pros: its a mall! lots of parking, garage parking (good for pictures), movie theater, very nice food court, bookstore, etc.
cons: arcadia police are GAY! crowded during busy shopping seasons.

7. 99 Ranch Market Plaza. San Gabriel. Del Mar Ave and Valley Blvd

pros: large parking lot, well lit, lots of food and shops
cons: can't really think of any

8. Cha for Tea Plaza. Alhambra. Main St and Garfield Ave.

pros: lots of parking, tea shop, Movie theater, night clubs, lots of other food
cons: not well lit, some speedbumps

9. The Marketplace. Alhambra. Almansor St and Valley Blvd.

pros: lots of parking, well lit, lots of stores/restaurants (Sunday Cafe, Starbucks, Big 5 etc.)
cons: stories of vandalized cars (unconfirmed).. not really any cons.





So that's the description of locations we had in mind. If anyone is interested in coming out to any of these locations please vote in the poll. We are planning to have the meet Every Saturday and a time TBD. First date will most likely to be scheduled for 2/23. Please vote!

i live practically down the street from AU79 san gabriel location... and many people already have "gatherings" at that place for boba...which i normally do anyways. so if you guys do this and plan it, i'll show attendance for you guys.

AU79 arcadia location would likely be unfavored by me... with the way cops are around this area, arcadia is pushing it... and they already look at STI/evo/S2k as the new "civic", so lets try not to kill game.

 

IMO AU79's boba tea sucks and its way overpriced

 

let me know if there's a meet tonight or not and where guys... i'll try to make it if my other plans fall through.

 

bump. anyone else interested in coming to 626 for a meet? those coming from LA its a lot closer than going to walnut =] if anyone else has suggestions for locations or times please give them

 

i would like to go to JRX, it would be nice to hang out at a shop and see some installs
without worrying about cops etc

anyway, a meet here would be great. just careful of those f-ing kids down here... they love to do stupid **** like that.

 

That's shouldn't be me,coz I didn't tint my windows.But one of my friend told me that too today,he saw one 8 look excactly same as mine....

it was great meeting up w/ u guys finally on saturday. and, your cars look great. i think the san gabriel superstore is a nice place for a meet- ie ample parking etc...

hopefully we can get this 626 off the ground. it's supposed to rain all week this week though.

yeah hopefully the rain will stop by this friday or saturday. Most likely our official meet will begin this weekend. look out for the "Official 626 Meet Thread" ;]
