Can Cameras Catch you if you have no front plate?
My title says it all. Is it possible to get ticketed in areas such as Beverly Hills that have numerous stoplight cameras, if you have no front liscense plate? Just a question I thought of while I was on Wilshire Blvd the other day.

but what about cars like a corvette that don't have a place to mount them, plus wouldn't it be the manufacturer's fault for not mounting them on in first place. And by the way, i love beverly hills, i try to make a trip once a month. it's lovely. i like mel's diner on sunset. hehe

even still. it's not the MFGs's responsibility to follow state laws. Granted they make sure that you have your lights in the right spot, the cops won't care if they are trying to bust you for as many things as they can.
Reguardless, you can mount them whether or not THEY provide a place. I was thinking about designing a kit that would go down below the rebar and have a place to mount the license plate in a tasteful manner. It would just be a matter of 1) doing it, and 2) finding someone that could produce it, as I have no experience with designing it. Besides, IF it sold, it would only sell in places that require the front bumper.

i remember when i had my 03 accord coupe, i get pulled over for speeding (101 in a 65), gives me a citation for not pulling over right away, a ticket for my car being too low, eventhough his foot fit under and then on top of that, a ticket for no front liscence plate ($750 al together). But in nevada, you can take it to your lawyer, i paid 98 and it's only a parking violation. haha

he said he "cut me a break" and wrote 100. i wanted to see the radar gun and he refused to show it to me. then i told him my car has a governor and doesn't go past 80. he didn't do a damn thing, was just a *****.

This thread prompted me to hunt all over my garage for a little spray bottle I bought a few years ago for the rear plate on my Harley. It contains tiny glass beads suspended in a liquid that helps them adhere to the license plate. When the flash goes off (usually invisible infrared), all the captured image shows is a brilliant rectangle, no number! It was originally billed as a "license plate brightener" and ya gotta love it, because that's what it did!
I couldn't find the bottle so tomorrow I'll head over to the local after market Harley shop and see if they are still selling it. If so, I'll post the name of it here. Stay tuned for more news!

I don't buy Kool-Aid
Not one of my cars have had front plates and I see cops all day. One did tell me to clean or get a new plate cover. He could not see my #'s. It was dirty. Thats about it. Then agen I live in a City where you can do 50 in a 25 next to a cop and not get pulled over.
