Hey! Any plans for 8 day? I know CV19 is still a concern on a lot of peoples' minds so understandable if not.

I do have a few ideas that might be plausible. I've been scouting out a few public parking lots on the Peninsula with plenty of room, near food, sometimes a BBQ, etc, and 6th Ave in Belmont between Emmett Ave and Waltermire St we could squeeze in 20-30 vehicles for a really cool group photo. Alice's is always an option and a cruise to Pigeon Point would be way fun if the weather is nice.

 

No plans for 8 days unfortunately. Also, the 8 community has been shrinking in northern california and not sure how many of us are still here. If we can get a stable community set up, we can do more 8 only events :D

 

Completely understood. I'd be more than happy to help with logistics if ever an opportunity ever arose. I'll be cruising around 4 corners today and keeping an eye out for any other RX's

 

I'll be posting next meet info soon. It will be a Sunday afternoon/evening meet. Hope you all can make it, would be great to see more 8's!

bump up thread. How's everyone? A few of us are planning for a meet in October 2020.
We are still up in the air about Sevenstock this year. I don't know either whats going to happen.
However a few of us within the rotary community would still like to get together on a monthly bases. I'll update as we proceed.

 

Thats good to know! RX8's have been rare to come to meets. I thought FD's would be rare but man, rx8's are hard to find. Haha. I'll post up meet flyers soon though COVID has been the main reason i havent been hosting any meets.

 

Any update? Never been to a meet so looking for that.

 

I'll start hosting in November once again. Looking forward to meeting new faces.

Sonoma is a great time, I'll be attending on Sat. Feel free to come by and introduce yourself.

 

Yes, we will eventually do some cruises through the backroads. I will not host canyon running events due to liability purposes for both driver and pedestrians but we can do a steady cruise through some local roads.

Hey guys!

Track day was awesome! Ambient temps were mid 60's throughout the day. Managed consistent sub 2:00 laps with some light traffic in open class although there were lots of very powerful cars with aggressive drivers, I opted to move out of their way. There was a ton of new Supra's and CTR's modded out (at least 5 of each) and man they were fast. Quite the turnout for this event.

And I was lucky to make another Rx8 friend! Already a rotary enthusiasts but recently picked up a fully prepped s1 off his buddy for a crazy (and I mean crazy) price. Very cool dude and definitely a competent driver. He said his car is set-up with a bunch of cameras so there should be some cool footage coming soon.

Next event is Laguna Seca 02/26-27, hope to see you there.
