Hey there everyone. I've been reading these forums for a while but haven't been very active.
I live in SM and have an 05 8. It's got quite a bit done to it, including some one-of-a-kind fab work (I work at a machine shop so free CNC time!) and plenty more is coming. I'm looking to meet more 8 drivers and hopefully get some new fabrication ideas, as well as hang out and talk cars

I was sitting at a stoplight. College and Ashby for anyone that knows the Berkeley area.
This kid pulls up next to me in what I think used to be a Civic. Park Bench wing. Painted black (not carbon fiber) hood. Loud *** bass rattling the car.
I turn and glance over, just because it's so damn loud and annoying. You know, cars that rattle with every beat of the bass.
So I'm sitting there, sipping my 7-11 Slurpee. I hear this VRRRRREEEEEEE sound. The damn Civic is revving at me. I ignore it.
I hear another VREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
another VREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
then a VREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHEHEHEHEHEHPFFFFFFFFF.. a 10 second pause of pure and golden silence and then a lot of cussing.
I didn't know what the kid did, but he was livid, got out and tried to pushed his car to the side of the road.
I felt bad... kinda.
So I get out and try to help.
You know what happened?
He was driving an automatic. He had had it in N and tried to launch it by pounding it into D while revving high. -_-

haha it was a spur of the moment thing...we all live within a 2 block radius of campus so i just called everyone up and we were at the lot within 5 minutes. i'll give ya a heads up next time heh

I took a few pics at this fridays meet, and havn't been home all weekend but I will post a couple of pics I took. A couple fo zoom affects with the lens. I will try and get them posted tonight.

No such thing as cheaper when you are getting those installed... Most shops charge about $400, you bought your basics for $500, $900 total! Look up a DIY and try it yourself. It took me 3.5 hours to change my front springs. It should only take about 5 hours to change out the suspension.

dude, im finally able to post on this website! finally! i think it took 2 months after signing up before i was able to post. to the folks from union city, 510 area, please post when the next meet at krispy kreme is. i just joined the club 2 months ago and i've only met 1 person in the area with an 8, (nothing but hondas, wrx, evos and weak *** scrapers over here). i'll see u guys at the next meet.
