Progressive was cheapest for me. Get a radar detector that goes off all the time like mine, it'll make you paranoid to the point where you won't speed. :D

Anyone want to pick me up at the Firestone in Fremont, Saturday morning? I'm getting my brakes changed and turning the rotors.

first, take a deep breath

second.. it doesn't matter when the ticket shows up, you have to pay for it for 3 years on your insurance. if your insurance finds out about it after you sign the policy (and they will), your rates will be adjusted to account for the ticket. I'm not saying to admit to the ticket, just be prepared for the adjustment in the next few months. If you go to traffic school you'll have zero points. If you go to court there's a chance the judge will let you go to traffic school, but he doesnt have to... so you could end up having to pay for the point, pay for the courts time, and pay for the ticket.

third.. geico and progressive can be done quickly online
i like aaa for it's comp coverage and i have it rolled up with my home and rental policies so it's pretty cheap

fourth.. when you go to court tell the judge the officer said he'd let you off if you'd consent to a cavity search in a nearby hotel. Ask the judge what that means.

I'm paying like $200 a month, I think it's full coverage 25k/50k with rental coverage and blah blah blah... Geico would be the cheapest but you have to be careful with them, some of their rates don't cover if your car gets stolen.

here's the breakdown:
2005 Mazda

BODILY INJURY & PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY $393.00
BI $25,000 EACH PERSON - $50,000 EACH ACCIDENT
PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY - $25,000 EACH ACCIDENT
MEDICAL PAYMENTS $5,000 EACH PERSON $32.00
COMPREHENSIVE ACV LESS $500 DEDUCTIBLE $167.00
COLLISION ACV LESS $500 DEDUCTIBLE $543.00
RENTAL REIMBURSEMENT $30/DAY FOR MAX OF 30 DAYS $58.00
UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED MOTORIST $33.00
$25,000 EACH PERSON - $50,000 EACH ACCIDENT
UNINSURED MOTORISTS PROPERTY DAMAGE $3,500 $10.00

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Premium by Vehicle $1,236.00
Anti-Fraud Fee $0.90
Total Policy Premium $1,236.90

What type of coverage did you select? I like progressive, real friendly and they come out to you quick when you get into an accident.

WTF? It must be the age.

I'm covering a 2007 Focus, 2005 Rx8, 1986 MR2, and 2005 350z for $219 a month, with a $100 deductible..

I'm with Allstate.

More than likely you'll be able to take traffic school.

If you have employer provided medical insurance, you probably don't need auto medical.

It might be age and the 3 points on my record. I'll do some quotes and see what I get.
