Having recently bought what I consider a great ride, I did seem to notice a bit of a problem one hot day with power. I haven't done much driving in the heat of the day. But since i'm taking a trip over to Phoenix this weekend, I obviously am just a bit concerned and would appreciate any input from you guys in AZ.

I've never had heat problems, but that may be because I don't use the ac, I drive with the windows down. Also in hot weather the 8 seem to lose some power. I think you'll be fine.

 

I had issues but it was due to faulty parts, you should be more than fine. Like Abbid said the AC may take a few extra minutes to work up to what your use to.

anyway, thanks for the feedback. I'll be spending the weekend up at Bartlett Lake. I wonder if the RX-8 can swim, too?

no real desert problems, though id recommend a set of screens to protect the oil cooler and A/C condenser

 

Heat can affect the radio - causing the center display to go COMPLETELY Nuts - I had this problem here near Seattle - another member back east...just something to be aware of. If yours does that, get ahold of me, or search the forum for 'radio' and 'display', I think you'd find the info on how to get it fixed.
