Jeff, you're on a streak, what's the meaning of life?

I going to put in a request to get the 1st of December off for the Drift event, and hopefully I'll have this Sat off so I can go on the drive.

Incredible day everyone. Thanks to those who made it out. I counted 19 cars, but I think I may have missed one or two, so I'm calling it a solid 20. Thanks to AZMC for joining us with some very nice hardware. Beautiful Mazda 6, Super clean Mazda 3, MS Protoge, Miata that was too clean to describe, and I'm sure a couple of folks that I've failed to mention. Also was impressed by the newbies who showed up for the first time to hang out with us (Chris and Erick).

Other than slow traffic and trouble finding a seat for food, it was a great day and an awesome way to bring in the Thanksgiving week.

Let's see.... what do I have to be thankful for this year? I'm thankful that Karl kept it on the road behind me. No dings or Arizona pinstripes either. Great job keeping it on the road bud

Hey, glad to see everyone is making it home safe. Finished the night off with a dinner with the girlfriend. I tried to convince her into taking pictures of everything as we went, but she was into her book. Tried to take pictures of what I could, might have a few later.

And I had a BLAST. Glad to see people other than me enjoying what their car can do. Tim, Karl, Jesse & Lynn, Sue, Eric, and everyone else. I'm ready for another run...anyone open on Thanksgiving morning?

Great to meet you Gabriel. We do have a lot of fun on our 'drives'.
Unfortunately, I'll be doing the Turkey Day dinner preparation on Thanksgiving morning. Hoping to see you on many more drives. Check out our AZMC friends website too (AZMazdaclub.com), there's a lot happening there as well. Very nice 8 you have there! Black IS beautiful.

thanks guys, I had a nice time. I hadn't made it to one of these meets in years! I'll have to go more often.

after we took off, I met a friend over at williams gateway airport and we flew over canyon lake. it looks even worse from the air! there was no wind, so he flew really low, just below the top of superstition mountain.

Nice pics... thanks for sharing.

Had an "Oh ****" moment heading back with Maniac behind me. Merged onto the 202 South doing about 80 mph and was ready to MASH the throttle when I did a rare check of my rear-view mirror to see a DPS cruiser less than 50 yards behind us and watching me very closely. I gently let out of the throttle until my speed had dropped to 65 mph (Jeff had already dropped WAAAY back) and waited, fully expecting him to pull in behind me. Boy, was I relieved to see him exit a mile or so up the road. Lady luck was definitely smiling at me!

He kept slowing down as I was merging on - he was directly to my left looking right at me - so I had to do the same.
I was way over 80 on the ramp and had to slow down to 60 to keep from passing him as I merged.
As I passed the gore, he noticed you and jumped on it for a sec.
He headed for the exit lane for the next exit, but pulled back into the travel lane to pace you.
When you didn't speed up, he pulled back into the exit lane pretty hard and got off, heading east.
