So as some of you might know, we have an out of town guest coming to Phoenix this Sunday the 10th. Mr. Charles R. Hill from Detroit. Many of you know him by reputation as being the NO2 Guru. Well that he is. Ray is moving to Phoenix in the next few months, so he's coming down for a little look around and visit with the other RX-8 fanatics around here. So on Sunday night we were thinking of having a dinner party for Ray. Nothing fancy. Just a little local group get together. Here are my thought's on the subject.
At this point I was just thinking about a BBQ at my house. Or we could go out to a restuarant.
Abuelos is the finest Mexican food in town. IMO. And they have THE BEST Margarita in Phoenix. It's called "The Don". It's on Chandler Blvd. and the 101 Just North of the Chandler Fashion Mall. West of the 101.
Anyway time is running out so lets all get on board and let me know what you want to do. I am up for suggestions on Sunday night activities.

When traveling north on 83rd ave is the safeway plaza on the right or left. I'm looking at an aerial map but it only tells you the street names.

Does 83rd ave turn into W. Lake pleasant parkway?

I seem to recall it's on the right. Yes, it turns into W. Lake Pleasant Parkway for a bit, then R on 83rd Ave. again. The exact address is 20713 N 83rd Ave., Peoria, AZ 85382

Abuelos sounds like an excellent plan.

Yes I have a couple of it not installed. Ray ran into a few installation quirks. The system is nice but I don't see alot of information on some of the needed steps for the install. So the install is not complete and will have to wait till Ray comes back again in a few weeks.
Sorry we didn't make the afore mentioned dinner party but we didn't get back from Vegas till about 8:00 pm. (777miles) I didn't have anyones phone # to call them (Like yours Sue). So I hope you didn't drive out for nothing.
I'll post some pics a little later on today.

Nah, I didn't make the drive. Actually, it's just as well, I was not feeling well yesterday.
Glad you made it back safely!

What is Tom's Suzuki rotary motorcycle? Which model Suzuki is that? Thanks, swtblnde, in advance.

I have been so busy with trial preparations and filings, I have been very scarce, and it doesn't end until December unless something settles but in IP practice, that is rare, indeed.

I just got a new bike, too, after I traded in my older one.

Sorry for the poor quality photos, I think Tim got some better ones.

Tom purchased it from someone in Kansas.

"Suzuki presented its first, and only, rotary engine powered motorcycle at the Tokyo Show in late 1973. The RE5, as the model was called, was Suzuki's technical flagship at the time and a fine motorcycle. The engine, originated from NSU in Germany, was smooth, quiet, powerful and had hardly any vibrations, thanks to its construction with no parts moving back-and-forth like the usual Otto engine."

Hope you can break away sometime for our get togethers BlueJ!

Sorry couldn't make HIN last Saturday, sooooooooo many things came up and no way to contact anyone, I will do whatever I can to make the next gathering. Its funny about the bike I always wondered "why not make a rotary motorcycle, could be a lot of fun", pretty sweet they did.
