Can you confirm that both of these kits will not work with the factory 18" rim without a spacer?

That really depends on how you drive your car. I've already had some minor problems with the brakes overheating while turning laps at Watkins Glen. Don't get me wrong I think the stock setup is very good, it just comes up a hair short at a fast track.

I plan on replacing the stock setup with higher temp pads and brake fluid before the next track event (Spring). Hopefully that will do the trick. If it doesn't then the StopTech big brake kit is at the top of my wish list. :D

What I have been told from the tech guys at StopTech is that neither kit will fit with the stock wheels w/o a spacer. If you go to their web site www.stoptech.com you can go to the applicaton secton and down load a blue print of the caliper and rotor to check the wheel clearance. I will do this and check it out my self and get back to you with a definate answer. It will be easier to do since my stock wheels are off the car and stacked up on my porch. I'm 99% sure that the larger of the two kits will not work with the stock wheels.

Yah i was talking with them before they released the charts and when I checked they didnt clear but they didnt have a chance to confirm my findings since they were working on the SEMA cars, just looking for someone to double check what I found out, sux Id love a set but dont cant spend that much on brakes and then a nice set of rims...
