Btw does anyone have any good videos of the twisties because my friends dont believe anything i say about how most cars wouldnt be able to keep up in the turns... my friend said a Audi S5 could of handled it better and i just laughed... so i need some good footage to shove it in his face...

 

Yes, there is some decent footage of the roads. I dont think it will fully convey the speeds we were traveling (as insane as they were in some cases) However, I dont think it will be ready for some time. If you want I can post the switch backs from the last run, but the quality wont be great.

 

you've got time... i just want the hairpin turns or the switchbacks from either year... preferably this year though... decent quality if you can but take your time... if some videos are ready load em' up on Youtube and send me the link. Heh i just laugh at these guys that think they know alot about cars, **** what i find really amusing is the fact that the 2 guys that are telling me this stuff they know a fair amount of knowledge about cars but the first guy doesnt even know how to drive that good, he was the one that totalled the 370Z lol... What i didnt tell you is he was stupid enough and tried to play it off that he could of regained control of it if the traction control was off and he was a better driver LOL. Tell me one thing, if your going 100-110 and you see a bunny and try to dodge it and lose control and swerve into some grass how are you going to regain traction??? once you hit the grass its over... LOL sorry for minor thread jack...

Where are you at in TX? The DFW group usually gets together 3-4 times a month, and I believe the groups in the other big cities (Houston, SA, Austin) usually meet at least once a month.

ah i gotcha im located in garland yea i kinda figure you guys meet up a lot around dfw. i usually go to the wednesday night meet off coit and ricekiller meet on mondays off 635, pretty huge turn out yesterday night

Ok...sorry for the delay. Here's a zip file of all the pictures I got collected on Saturday night. All told, it's about 500 images.

I did go through and resize all the pictures down to 800x600 so the zip file would be smaller. If I left them at their original size, it was over 3 gigabytes of data. No way I'm gonna upload all that and let people download it.

If you do want the originals, let me know and I can burn a DVD for you. For those not in DFW, I would ask for $2 to cover shipping and stuff.

I'm getting there. I've never used youtube before and didnt realize they had to actually process the video once I uploaded it, so waiting on that

 

Try it now. I've restricted it to not show to the world so I may have to change some settings somehow.

 

yeah...says it's private and I can't view it. my username on youtube is the same as here if it will allow certain members to view it.

 

Ok I changed it to normal, wish there was a way that you could set it only viewable by linky (ie doesnt show in searchs or anything like that)

I viewed the initial quality and its *****... hopefully when its completely done processing it will be better.

 

I got it to pull up now. Apparently it's still processing, because it's taking a while to show.

 

Well done Thomas, it's going to turn out great! Only comment I have would be add more of the hairpin turns, just to really show what we put the cars through.

Looking good! Footage is good, but I might suggest a different font and color...but that's just me being picky.

Looks good for a rough draft.. I'd suggest that the intro of the cars coming down also be fairly well in sync with a song build... Kinda build some excitement ya know.

Here's pretty much a straight 3 minute vid of just the switchbacks. Def needs to be watched in HD. Actually kinda sad the quality isn't better cuse it looks really good on my computer.
