Why would you need to research on your own? We have the internet now.

I think the internet has fostered a notion that exactly what you need is out there, and will be delivered to you on a silver platter if you ask.

Hey I'm sure if new members paid knowledgeable current members then that comparison would apply. In your analogy, they're paying to be taught. Here on the forum, they're expecting to be spoon fed without any compensation to the members :-P I mean most people are just asking for a little effort from the new member.

searching doesnt always mean using the search button. sometimes its just looking farther down the page or even onto the 2nd page for a thread that is relevant. if you go to the faq section and you only see one thread- check that your settings at the bottom are showing you threads from "the beginning".

Now we have a thread to tell new members to use the search function. This is getting stupid. Sad thing is the car is bought by the older crowd sometimes and that crowd may not have ever been on a site like this one before and having such never been on a site like this has no clue at all how it works. Therefore try to help them out a little more.

If you look at the site probably 99% of all questions have been asked and answered about this car. So what should be do at this point....Shut it down and make it only a FAQ libabry? Not at all. I like the point of "newbs" coming in asking questions. Shows there is still great interest in this car.

Get over the repeat questions and enjoy life. If this is the biggest problem in ur life right now that you have to start at thread like this then u are doing pretty good man.

Ok Rant over! Im out!

but really i only really help those who seem like they dont surf forums much, when i see a guy with 100 or so post asking a simple ? i just skip it unless i remember something that is actually helpful and convenient for me to find. the intake and exhaust threads get real old real quick.
