RX8Club.com pushing malware? (a@Top1[1].htm)

For the last three days I've been getting messages from my Trend Micro Antivirus that I've got a suspicious file in my Temp Internet Files folder. The Antivirus program can't delete it, but if I close IE I can go in and delete it manually. After deleting I can run a virus scan and it finds nothing. Also, I can browse the internet all day without getting this, but the minute that I come to rx8club.com the message pops up. So, I'm wondering if anyone else is getting hits from their virus software when on rx8club?

The file name is "a@ Top1[1].htm" (without the between @ and T space)

Here's a link that Trend Micro gives on the message that I get:
http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/viru...Possible_Hifrm

With all the **** and stuff that's being posted I'm wondering if someone has hacked the site. Anyone have any ideas?

Click kvndoom's link to download Firefox. I use that and Avast AV. I haven't had any problems. And I see more of the spam than you.
I also don't see any of the adverts.

Isn't the Trend Micro the creator of PCILLIN? They suck big time. I used to use Pcillin and kept getting my comp infested with virus and trojan worms...

I now use McAfee and have no issue for 3 years.... :D

And no..I'm not getting any pop up when I'm on here.. I think your computer is infested...

guys let me tell you some of this malware is nasty that's showing up on 8club. it can take IE hostage and from what i've read be a PITA to get rid of. and alot of the run of the mill AV like mcafee don't even catch all of the viruses involved.

I run Firefox as well, backed up by McAfee and spyware doctor. I've had no problems, and I detest IE...

Nobody will have a problem whether you use firefox or IE unless you click on the links in the posts. in some of the links it will say to view the content you need to install video activex. i was suspicious so didn't click on it but did some research and by click on the "download" button all hell breaks loose. trojan viruses are installed. whether IE, firefox or mcafee would prevent all that i don't want to find out.

Firefox and AVG work great for me.
Since AVG started packaging anti-spyware with their anti-virus, I even stopped using SpyBot and Ad-Aware.
Plus its not a resource ***** like some other programs ( :cough: Norton :cough: )

Use AVG, its free. Great anti virus.

Not all anti virus programs can get rid of trojans / malware.

Google for SDFix.

Download.

Install in C:

Reboot, press F8, run in safe mode.

Run SDFix.

This will hunt down almost any trojan / malware and clean the registry.

If that doesnt work, PM me and I can hook you up with some good stuff.

Actually the Trend Micro AV will get rid of this file if I close IE and then run it. This htm file is easy enough to get rid of, my main concern is that every time I come to rx8club.com it pops back up. Now it's true that if I use a different browser I might not have the problem, and I thank you for that suggestion but that doesn't change the fact that rx8club.com may be pushing malware to anyone that visits the site using IE. I've submitted the file to Trend Micro so they can test it to see if it is actually malicious as the message that I get is that it is suspected... so maybe this will turn out to be nothing.

Also, I get this htm file copied to my temp internet files after just visiting the site, I don't have to click on any links or agree to install anything.

I'm going to visit the site today on my work computer that's running XP with both IE and Firefox and see what happens.

Oh, and good news: So far today I haven't been hit with this file, so maybe it's been taken care of.

McAfee is suppose to be the best according to my cpu tech. Before he installed it for me I had Norton...scanned for the first time after installing McAfee found 19 virus's...trojans..Havent gotten anything from rx8club though.
