But that's my point. You don't have to read those stories. You don't even have to go anywhere close to that part of the site. But you do have the option to read them if you want. IMO that's what makes the U.S. such a great place. You have options.

I think it's a disservice to offer a kills section because it's generally gloating, and gloating generally comes from stupid people. Smart people sit and revel in their newfound glory.

Least that's my opinion.

Yeah! Let's have a KILLS section.. Where we can all get into pissing contests, arguments and debates.. "dood, my car does 13.9 your RX-8 is ****, it's got no torque, dood" etc, etc, etc..
I spent 1/2 an hour reading the "racing" forum on 350Z.com.. Go read that section.. it's argument and proof that those kinds of forums are stupid and have no place on a mature board. Track, auto-x and drag strip only. No idiotic posts about somebody "racing" someone else on streets/hwys..

I had this problem on my forum as I started a forum called "Driving Experiences"... it turned into a "kill" fest and thus I started saying that I'd close it if it continued to be this stupid low intelligence threads that come up.

So I changed it around.... I allowed the 'racing', but I included that they MUST list mods done to the car and the car they were racing, and no arguements can be made about it. If they ran a specific time, a timeslip is REQUIRED.

If they don't follow those rules they lose their privledges to post in that forum entirely. No 3 strike rule, it's a 1 strike and you're out.

either way, most of the people who will be getting RX-8's will be older and more mature. They're the ones who will be valuable assets to this board.

If there are a bunch of 18 year olds having pissing contests, it'll drive away the members who actually contribute.

i agree. the cheaper the car, the more bullshit you'll here about street races. i find kill/street race stories entertaining on LS1 forums, mainly because those guys can hold their own in virtually any street race. Also the BMW M5 forum has interesting street race stories...you won't find any "your car sucks, that car sucks..." kinda crap. if they get killed, their's respect for the car that killed them and vice versa. the **** on stupid 350z's taking out integra's or s2000 are mindless and boring. the more expensive the car, the less likely stupid **** you'll hear.
