Kills Section???

How come there's not a kills section? Do rx-8's not race, or what?

We had a kills section once, but it took up all the space on the entire Internet because the RX-8 can't lose -- ever. Except of course to the Crossfire which parenthetically is why the government is forcing the discontinuation of it.

here is the copied rule that refers to that:

15. We do not have a street racing or "kills" forum on this site, and threads or posts about street racing will not be tolerated. These types of posts inevitably turn into flamewars, which nobody wins. Also, any forum member caught trolling and intentionally instigating a flame war on any other auto enthusiast forum gets an immediate 1-week ban; protesting this action results in a permanent ban.

Yeh, I've seen you in nopistons.com. They do indeed have a kills section.

I find it strange that RX7Club does have a kills forum, and the same guy owns both sites.

I killed a possum once. But not with my 8. It was with an old Chrysler. Unfortunately not a crossfire. They didn't exist.

I killed a magpie with my 8 . When I got home I looked for it but could not see it .
Some months later (when I was fitting my screens ) I found the carcass jammed between the plastic underbelly thingy & the radiator .
Man that was one well cooked magpie .

Seriously though - what would be wrong with a "kills at the track" section ? A lot of us do the occasional track day & for those who don't it would be cool to read about the straight line cars that the 8 destroys on the track .

That would actually be quite fun because that is where the 8 really shines & it is all perfectly legal .

Well, even kills on tracks can turn into flamewars. And yes i "killed" a BMW M3 and a Porsche 996 on the track. Most people wont believe me though saying the RX-8 is way slower than an M3 or a 996. But in the end it all comes down to the driver. I can outrun an average M3 driver in my RX-8 where as a pro driver could whip me with just about anything while im in my RX-8.

Then again that is the pleasure of the kills section that you managed to put a driver in a better car to "shame".

I would like a track-kills section but i understand if it wont be approved due to flamewars.

It's called the competition racing section.

Ouch.

There could be a forum just for wheel kills.

A kills section will turn this forum, which happens to be one of the very few automotive forums that actually has decent people and decent content into the junior high hall bathroom where everyone is hauling out their schwanz and bragging about how big it is.

The "framers of the constitution" (ok, well Boostd) wrote the rules very intelligently, IMHO to keep the dipshits out.

If you really feel this need, why don't you instead post a "my weekend racing results" topic in the competition forum? THen you can talk about yourself all you want.

I know it is sad, I think she is jinxed she got hit twice in a month in her new truck, then gets a scratch on the underside of my body kit, now this... never fear though, the car is going in Saturday for some more work, while it is there they are going to see if they can get some of the scratches out.... "let us pray".

Hey Thanks for voting for me BTW.

Are we talking about the same forum here?

I feel like I'm in a Folger's commercial:

"We've secretly replaced the normal Rx8 board with Folger's Crystal Meth Rx8 board.... lets see if they notice."

How about an 8 with FI? Or the new Rx-7 coming out in 2010?
