Banner alignment problem in IE
Banner alignment problem in IE
I'm sure all the FireFox n00bs are going to come out of the woodwork on this one, but I thought I'd mention it just the same. The banner is a little mis-aligned in IE7.

I've had too many problems with FF in the past. I've had dozens of times on multiple computers where the memory footprint grew to 400MB+. That's never happened on IE (any version). I've also had issues where things don't paint properly in FF. Most importantly is that I can turn on ClearType for IE7 without turning it on for all of Windows. Browsing without ClearType is painful to me at this point.
I've never had the problems people have had with IE. I don't get spyware because I'm not a moron. I don't get hax0red because I have firewalls, AV, and a bit of luck I suppose. I also don't have the problems with rendering inconsistencies when developing webpages because I actually know what I'm doing and use strict DOCTYPE's and W3C compliance which eliminate 99.9% of the issues people complain about when it comes to IE.
And just FYI, I will not be reading this thread to hear what any FF fanboi's have to say -- I just do not care. Live in your world of post-modern anti-establishment and complain about IE's inability to do anything right. This post is solely intended for anyone who may actually be interested to know that they could be slightly mistaken with their impression of IE and will now spend a few minutes looking into what I've said for their own edification (especially if you're a webpage developer).

I was just busting on ya! I know how it goes, former .NET PM here, just not an IE fan.
Here is a rant, the W3C has a free compliance code checker on their site.... why doesn't anybody use the f-ing thing!!!!!

I PMed BOOSTD 7 a few days ago about this, but I figure I'll post it here in case someone else can fix it.

In case you didn't see my thread, there's a small alignment issue with the logo in IE7. I'm sure you have better things to do, but I think that it's a really easy fix. Where you have your logo table, you have this:
If you just removed that space before the ending "a" element, I believe it would fix it. So it would look like this:

Bump.
I really think this should be fixed. The problem is caused by literally a single character as I outlined here. In fact, this problem doesn't exist with the dark theme because it doesn't have the rogue character.
For whatever your personally beliefs it makes sense that the most used browser viewing the default theme (light) should probably get some attention if it doesn't look right.
