I am selling my 2004 Mazda RX-8 with the Navigation system, the Grand Touring Package, Sport Package, Appearance Package, and Rotary Accent Package...

If you're on this forum then you are probably familiar with the basics of the car, so I won't delve into those. I will point out a few extras that you might not find on other RX-8's for sale.

-Upgraded Navtech firmware and map DVD installed just two months ago

-XM Satellite professionally installed with hidden control units (XM Commander system with remote control) -- see picture

-Extended Mazda warranty 6 years/100,000 miles (Valid until March 2010 or 100,000 miles) -- (A transfer fee of $50.00 applies to transfer the warranty to your name)

I'm not a regular on this forum (as evidenced by my post counts!) but I have been a regular reader. I must say, if I was ever thankful for one thing, it was for the advice given by fellow RX-8ers who use Zaino. The stuff has been amazing. I apply several coats 4 to 5 times a year, primarily between season changes.

The car has 34,200 miles on it and I do have to drive it occasionally. I am not a dealer; I am a law enforcement officer and have an agency vehicle to go to and from work. I have never smoked in the car or even eaten in the car. This car was primarily used for my long weekend trips and has been kept in a garage otherwise. If you are in the area, feel free to contact me to come take a look. I believe you'll be thoroughly impressed. I have had the 30K service done and an oil change since then, and I have the maintenance records from the day I bought the car.

I am asking $22000 for the car. I believe it is fair in comparison to KBB and NADA values. If you would like to make an offer, I implore you to come take a look at the car beforehand so that you can be realistic with your offer. And to answer the inevitable question... the reason I'm selling it is because my best friend just got hired at HBL Mercedes in Tyson's, and I've had my eye on a CLK for a while now so it's time to move on.
