Has anyone else noticed that the fuel guage has 3 graduation marks from E to 1/4 and 3/4 to full, but has 5 graduation marks from 1/4 to 1/2 and 1/2 to 3/4?
This is a pretty insignificant thing. I am simply hoping that someone might have a reasonable explanation for this odd thing.

 

Perhaps this is to make the gauge more linear as an attempt to compensate for the unread reserve and extra capacity of the fuel tank.
