A titanium and a silver. Had a red one that sold last night.

All they're getting currently are MT w/ touring pkg. I was told they're getting a "demo" MT and AT next week they'll allow out on test drives.

I also heard that Al Smith is calling them to confirm pricing. My guess is that some of you guys Smith is trying to stick with a dealer upcharge have threatened to take your business to Capital? :-)

The daytime gauge lighting is very nice. The engine started incredibly quick, and runs very quiet. Nice.

 

The Titanium is gone. It's sitting in my garage right now... :D

Just picked up my Ti-Rx8 last Thursday and it is a joy to drive. The engine is quiet, can just hear it when it idles. Love the GT package with the moon-roof ... not to mention the leather seats are also the deal...

What color interior did your titanium come with?

 

I got Black leather. I've seen pics of the brown/black leather and thought it was horrible. Definitely not for me.

Has everyone in Charlotte been stopping you asking what kind of car it is or how they used to own an RX-7 and would love the have an 8? I've even had a police officer pull up next to me in a parking lot and talk to me about the 8!

 

I got black leather too. I couldn't bring myself to doing the cloth interior and the black/brown leather didn't fit with me either... Not to mention I don't think black/red would fit the Titanium exterior well either ...

Yes, everyone has either been giving thumbs up on the highway, pulling up next to me to comment on the car, or pulling into a gas-station and everyone wants to look inside, touch it, look in the trunk .. you name it... But haven't had any coppers stop and chit-chat about it with me yet; however I'm sure it's the come ... The cars are still so new that even a lot of the Rx7 fans had no idea that the Rx8 has hit the streets... It's just near impossible to find if you're wanting a MT ...

What packages did you get on yours?

 

I got the touring package but not the navigation. I know where I'm going.

I plan to pick up some accesories in the next few weeks. I want to get the chrome rotor symbol below the grill. I'm also waiting for the RX-8 Sunscreen to show up at the dealer. After that, maybe the 5-disc changer. I'm already missing that because I had it in my Tribute.

 

:D So true; however the navigation is sweet. The dealer told me they believe a local audio shop can hook us up and get the nav system to play regular DVDs. I'm not sure what the truth in that is; however if it's possible... We'll be jammin' on our long road trips...

Let me know how much the Rotary Accent package costs ya if you don't mind. The local dealer is still waiting for some accessory parts here and they aren't able to quote me a price until they come in. That's certainly 1 package I want to add to my options list ... And of course the disc-changer would be nice. Are you getting them to install the in-dash changer? If so, let me konw how that goes ... And I didn't know there was an RX8 sunscreen ... Does it have an emblem on it or logo? I just picked up a cheap titanium lookin' one for now from a local retailer to at least protect the interior ...
