Welcome! Yeah, our weather really sucks these days.
What to do? Take a spin out to the mountains, if you can. Check out the Performing Arts Centre to see what's going on there. Stroll through Eau Claire Market. Shop, since there's no PST here.
My coffee's not in my bloodstream yet, so that's all I have for the moment.

What to do. if it's sunny - head down Macleod Trail - (Weds - 6:30 PM - on) Across from Chinook and look at all the wonderful hot rods, antiques, etc.. Small car show. but all pending on the weather. What do you like to do? Where are you located in Calgary?
great. They just gave me my "marching orders" , heading back to TO at 2:30pm
I must say, calgary in the day is much bigger then I expected. I actually think your downtown core rivals TO, if not bigger in terms of high rise buildings.. hmmm, lesser income tax, no PST, tempting. . . very tempting place to live.
and your concourse thingy is impressive.. it's massive!! didn't have to go outside once cept for a smoke. I'll be back next year for the stampede though!
Oh and I did see a RED 8 today
I'm so lost in this city i don't even know what street # it was.. Later calgary! was a fun few hours

I've seen that somewhere before to. The reason why is that Calgary is one municipality whereas cities like Toronto or Vancouver or New York are made up of more than one municipality.
I think we are near thye top in bike paths also.

And parkland within city limits. Actually Toronto is broken up and is quite small as is Vancouver and Montreal. Montreal is just an island. "Calgary is the largest city on the Trans-Canada Highway and the second largest municipality in an area in Canada covering 721 square kilometers." ... So I was close... We aren't talking population here. Just Area.
"Calgary has about 400 km of recreation pathways and 200 km of bike lanes, one of the largest bike networks in Canada. Fish Creek Provincial Park in the south end of the city has another 25 km of paths. The Trans Canada Trail follows about 60 km of recreation paths through the city."
