Vancouver, Sea to Sky run and further?

Hey, just want to gauge any interest on how many people would be up for repeating our last summer run up to Lilouette, or maybe this year, making it through the entire run, hehehe
I am certain that Lawrence, Usoff and Mark would be up for this, hopefully we can get Rohit to make it the entire distance this year, and hopefully we can add a lot of new faces this year. Should we invite the RX-7 guys out for this if we do this again too? Or should we make this an 8 Van official meet?

Any thoughts?

Other question for this would be, when should we plan it, wait until summer again, or try for spring? like within a few months?

Anybody know how the roads are up that far? I don't think everybody here has the winter tires like Usoff has :P

I am definitely up for this again....

I'm still attached to my winter tires, and would prefer to let the roads dry up a bit... I'll be taking them off sometime in mid-March.

Doesn't the Whistler pass still have snow up until April?

And what about your NorthWest US brothers to the south, can we come up and play? Before I bought my RX-8 my wife and I did the entire loop last summer in my 92 Civic. Beautiful drive, but I spent most of my day getting out of the way of different motorcycle and car clubs (Alfa and Porche were the most notable car clubs). Anyway, that drive needs to be done properly, I would love to join in!

Very interested in a group drive

A day trip would be great - maybe a trip to Whistler towards the end of March or early April as the roads should be clear to there with a longer trip mid June when all roads should be clear.

Just purchased my Rx-8, no winter tires yet - will get them for next season.

i am there for sure, it is an awesome drive, and to all the 8'ters out there who are reading, you should come to....mind, body, nature....its amazing...

however, i think april at the earliest is best...just in terms of road safety and conditions...

So far it looks like we will have a few more cars than last time, would be great to get in to the double digits with cars, would be sweet to see a huge line of them flowing down the mountain roads

Usoff, should we plan it around a similar meetup place as last time? and then head to whistler for lunch... then off to lilooet?
should we try to make the entire run this time?

just realized that since I havent done anything to my car in a long time, mine is gonna look pretty plain next to Mark, Vince and Usoff... hehehe

I'm also in this for sure... sounds fun... but what is the road conditions like and when is it to be exact? Deciding if is close I'll leave my Winters on ... if not i'll chng them back.

it will be later, when the roads are better, so, dont worry about the snow tires, regular tires will be fine

No worries, last time we planned this out, we planned a month in advance.
It was a great drive, and the scenery was amazing.

My best guess on a reasonable date, for temp, and roads, would be either mid April - early May.
Of course I am biased, since I am taking a course to change careers, so, I might be less available, and dont want to set a date which I cant join in on. But if anyone has a definite date in mind, please feel free to give some thoughts.
