Hey guys, about a week ago I was driving my rx8 and it shut off all the sudden while driving. I first thought ran out of fuel because my gauge doesn't read correctly. So i pulled over and tried to crank it which it did but didn't start. I got some gas and then my immobilizer light was blinking very fast and wouldn't let me crank. My fuel relay also popped when i got it towed. Anyone know if running out of fuel can cause immobilizer issues? I've tried letting it sit, doing sequences, disconnecting battery for hours, ect. I replaced the fuel relay but same issue. I did the key trouble shoot and got the flash with a pause and 6 flashes after. I also want to mention this is my only key and it is a amazon key i got programmed, everything worked fine till now. my key still unlocks door and everything.

 

I am also tuned, i was going to try to revert to stock but my obd will not communicate to ecu im guessing because car doesn't see correct signals from key

 

Check the fuses in the footwell. The fuse for the OBD power is in there and if it blows the car won't start. Can't remember which one it is... room maybe?
