Water temp gauge not moving

Wired everything up as instructed, grounded the black wire coming off the sender in the engine bay, grounded the radiator hose adapter as instructed too. Gauge powers up fine. But stays on 80 degrees even with the car at full operating temp. Oil pressure is working fine. Oil temp is not done yet. Waiting on banjo bolt to arrive.

Water gauge won't go up until engine is toast anyway.

Use something plugged in OBD II to get real temps.

I like my scangauge which also gives ATF temp, since mine is 6 speed auto.

I think he's talking about an aftermarket gauge and he got it fixed.
