That segment does make me wonder if Ken Block, et al will make/release an unedited Gymkhana video.

They could go crazy and have split-screen with car-mounted and drone-mounted cameras. Actually, thinking about it, they could do some editing while keeping continuity this way. Start off with both and transition between them at easily recognized junctions.

You could even have multiple drones so they don't have to play catch-up. Bring all the drones and the car together, start recording on all of them, snap the screen board in front of all of them, and then stage the drones around the course. Start the video with the one camera, and have a P'n'P image from the next that you're going to transition to. Then, when you get to an obvious landmark, grow the next camera feed while shrinking the current one. Repeat as necessary.

Presto: multiple interesting camera angles while proving your hoonigan prowess.

I've always really wondered what the day looks like for those kind of shoots, so I really liked this segment.

You could always tell that multiple cuts and edits were done, but the stunts are still pretty damn impressive. The gymkhana vid where it shows him with half the rear contact patch of his tire hanging off the pier always made me wonder if he ever went for a swim that day...

It's very similar to when people admire celebrities for their looks or acting ability...

Well, yah, there's a huge amount of selection bias involved. For the most part, you only see the best parts of their lives.

****, it's facebook/twitter/instagram. A curated view. You get to see what they allow you to see. Highlights without any of the lowlights they keep to themselves.
