You need the RX8 ECU for EPS, so you will have to keep the CAS in place for that to work.( you can mount it to the front cover, it's been posted before)

The dash works off the RX8 ECU also.

Then you'll need to have the RX8 OMP connected so the RX8 ECU doesn't put the car in into limp mode. (Connect it up and tuck it out of the way somewhere).

G/L bro, looks like your getting closer

Im finishing with my 13b re swap. I have it running with a haltech and left the factory ecu for the dash and the electrics stuff. The real question is if im going to be able to get the power stearing to work this way? Or what specificly i need for it to wor? I see you said cas but im using the engines factory one wich is the 24/ 2 tooth type. Is it possible to make it work with that or will i have to change my ignition to maje it work?

I have the Cas that comes with the 13b-re engine. Wich is same as the turbo 2 one. I understand you guys are telling me i need the factory cas for the rx8 for the power steering to work. Is it a RPM signal that tells the rack to activate? If thats the case then it could be activated with a tach output from my ECU? What you guys think? I loved too see youre set up redrx but dont have instagram. Looks like using the rx8 timing cover would have been the best way to go but too late for that now. Just want to register and use the car already.

Cano, you have to use the stock rx8 36-2-2-2 trigger wheel with it's mag sensor, no matter what other trigger system you're using to run the aftermarket ecu.
