I did the mistake of test driving one and I had to buy it. Will take delivery in 2 weeks. I'm just wondering what the ecu L flash is all about, what it does and should I ask the dealer to do it before I take delivery?

the L reflash is a new program for the car's ECU that uses a mixture that's a bit leaner (the way it's run right now is a bit rich and therefore better fuel and performance difference is debatable). Your car will run fine as it is from the dealer, just a small update that you should get when you get the chance. It wouldn't hurt if you drive it and wait till the first 2000km service to do it.
