Hey Guys,
New to the Forum and now a proud owner of a "new", to me, 2004 RX8...After serving 2 tours in Afghanistan and 1 tour in Iraq, I am finally returning back into the whole civilian life.
As stated before, the RX8 I purchased was an 04, it has minor cosmetic dings and knacks, nothing too serious. The thing that made me a little apprehensive at the time of purchase was that the vehicle has 90,000+ miles on it.
The drive is sweet, smooth and can be exciting. Prior vehicles were from an sr20det s13, to 3 different STI's, to an EvoX...
The one thing I did notice on the vehicle was that, when we're at cruising speed, there is this winding sound, the example I can give to compare is when at certain vehicles are reversing. I figured it could be just the rotary sound, and another thing that I did notice that, when I am on a gear for some time, the engine coolant light would go off...
Ok, so I guess the reason why I am writing this thread is that, I need everyone's advice on how to maintain an RX8 that is nearing 100K miles. Also from the maintenance to the basis where I could start to modify the RX8 cause, rotary is Alien to me.

For your questions- sound, I'm not sure about. Maybe a recording/ video could help?
The light is normal. Use that google search feature in my sig and type in engine coolant light. All future searches should be done using that feature
