Starting problems with my rx8

My 54 plate 230bhp rx8 won't start, i have had my rx8 for roughly a year bought second hand from a multi car dealership I didn't have any problems with it at all and then about a week ago when to go for a drive and it won't start I have very little knowledge of engines, so i asked one of my friends who is a mechanic he says it sounds like there's not enough compression but he also confesses to having little knowledge of the rotary engine having never worked on one, I am more of a weekend driver I don't do alot of miles when I do drive, but I must confess when I drive my rx8 I do drive it hard red line the gears etc I keep it topped up with oil etc and I live in the England don't know whether that makes a difference ? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks oooo and it's done 47687 miles

Well, can you confirm you didn't flood it?

When was the last time you had the coils/wires/plugs replaced?

Not sure what "54 plate" means, is it a 04-05? Does it have the original weak starter if it is?

Can you hear the fuel pump turn on?

Need more info

Jmo, I would suggest that you login to Rotaryheaven.net. They are a European rotary community with members in the UK. You may find someone near that can help with your problems.
