Got a question for you, I got in my 8 to start it up and let it warm for a bit. It was quite cold outside, as I live in Vancouver Bc. When I got in my car to leave for work, I had a cel. I haven't had time to check the code, because I had to work. I thought it was just probably another misfire. (spark plugs and battery recently changed) but as i gave it gas to go in 1st, it felt as though I was driving a ford festiva, no power what so ever. The car was running completed fine the night before. Oh and btw the cars an 04 6mt. I tried searching but nothing relating directly that I could find. So any suggestions as to what the problem may be??

You may have a clogged cat. Check to see if it's glowing after a drive, or remove it and inspect for damage.

 

Will it rev over 4K? If not it may be in limp mode from the MOP....

This exact same thing happened to me this morning. Car running great the night before, let it warm up this morning and started driving and it almost stalled... figured wierd but whatever. It also sounded a funny when i revved it a bit. Got to work and the cat was glowing, had ZERO power on the highway to work. Barely made it up the second narrows. Just towed it to metrotown mazda. I don't know if i had a cel due to me AP. (flashed back to stock at the dealership though).
