Advice on amp to go with 2 JL Audio 10w3 woofers

Hey everyone.

Thinking of getting 2 10 inch w3 JL Audio subs and I wanted to see what amp would work well with them. I will be keeping my current stock bose headunit.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Here is some info about the sub:

10" 4-ohm subwoofer
mineral-filled polypropylene cone with nitrile-butylene rubber surround
power range: 100-500 watts RMS
peak power handling: 1,000 watts
frequency response: 25-250 Hz
sensitivity: 84.87 dB
top-mount depth: 5-7/8"
sealed box volume: 0.625 cubic feet
ported box volume: 1.125 cubic feet

That's a 1500 watt amp. Is that really necessary? Is that because the subs are each 500 rms?

I came across the JL Audio J2 500.1 Mono amp. It says that its 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms, and then below it also says 340 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms. Would this amp work with my desired setup that has a 500 watt RMS (the 2 JL Audio 10w3 subs)?

t1500- at 2ohm is 1000watts rms ,

its easier to blow a sub when you underpower it than when you over power it

it all depends on how you wire them aswell theres many possibilities

Update!

Okay after quite a bit of research, I think I figured out what I need. Plan is to have 2 JL Audio 10w3v3s.

Product list is as follows:

-2 JL Audio 10w3v3-4 subwoofers (each: 4 ohms, 500 RMS watts)
-Sealed enclosure sub box (similar to the Zenclosure boxes)
-JL Audio J2 1000.1 (1,000 watts RMS x 1 ohm)
-AudioControl LC6i
- 4 gauge amplifier wiring kit by StreetWires "Power Station PSK04Bi" (I doubt I'll be spending the $ for the kit, but these are the wires ill be needing)
-12 gauge speaker wire

Does this make sense? Am I missing anything else? Would anyone recommend a different brand for any of the products? I definitely want to go with the JL Audio 10w3 subs; all else can vary, just as long as I'm getting the most out of the subs.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Anyone? I want to go ahead and get everything I've listed, but I want to be sure that this type of setup will work. Share your opinions people!

Thanks!

Well I'm powering 2 subs at 500 RMS each, so a 600 watt amp wouldn't be enough...right?

How many ohms are they? You also have the HD 750 to choose from.
