I just bought a 2004 GT model from a used car lot. It has alot of options including, nav, heated leather seats, bose sound system. I'm just confused about the six disc changer. According to the dealer it had it but I can't for the life of me get it to work. Maybe I don't have it I'm unsure and I don't know where to look to find out. Or maybe something is wrong with it. Any tips?

Is there a little icon on the dash that says 6 cd changer?

If not, then no you do not have it. All of them have a dummy 'load' button that doesnt work

IF Im not mistaken, 6 disc changers were actually a rare option in 04..

 

When you press the load button on the radio itself, it should show blinking numbers from 1-6 on the little orange display.. if it is the 6 disk changer.

If not it will only be single load. The 6 disk cd changer is built into the OEM dash radio, there isn't like a slot load in the trunk or anything.

 

Does your headunit have this logo?

 

I checked my cd player and it does not have the 6 CD changer logo anywhere on it. I wasn't aware that all of them came with a dummy switch. Thank you for all your responses.

 

Dissamble has been started now. Rust damages were not as bad as i thought. Tomorron rest of the body parts will come off, also interior will be taken out
