05 RX8 grand touring velocity red
Up for sale is my 05 Velocity Red RX8 grand touring with every option but navigation. It currently has 57k miles and is located in north Alabama. The only mods are HKS legamax exhaust and a couple of led lights here and there. It has the two tone red and black leather with heated seats. Im needing to sell because i am going to be driving alot on weekends and i need a car i can put alot of miles on and not worry about it. My wife has just moved four hours away for school and i had to stay here cause of my job. The only flaws are some rock chips on the font bumper and a very small dent on the left fender and a small chip beside the drivers door handle. Times are tough and i need to sell my nice car to buy an old junker to drive around.

Not many, take a look at the thread histories. I bet you the percentage is 1 out of 10 cars. People either want too much for the vehicle or the cars are too beat or hacked, also there just aren't many people who are buying (most people on forum already have one). That's why most posts have multiple bumps on it and price drop at least 2-3K compare to original asking price. You are going to get way more coverage on autotrader or cars.com. If you really need to sell it, I highly recommend you spend the money up front to get the coverage you need. The target audience is too small on the forums.
Also just as a tip. When I was shopping for a loan to buy my RX-8, I found the used car loans from private party basically dried up. It's almost impossible to get a loan on a used car from a private party now, especially at the 15K+ mark (they also appraise the cars now, so cars with over 60K beware!). So it's either pay $2K more up front at the dealer or pay $2K more through out the loan from private party with higher interest rates. Of course you can always try your local credit union, but you better have a decent income and credit history. My current car was purchased through a private party at $45K, now I have to apply at multiple banks to just get one over $15K! I am not trying to be negative, but please do keep that in mind when you list the car on sale. It's a tough market right now, just want to let you know and good luck!

your not being negative, i understand completely what you are saying. I just put the car on autotrader- wow $79 to list! I just figured since it was free to post on here i would put it up. usually when im interested in a car, i check out forums for that kind car and look at the for sale section so maybe i will get lucky and someone will do that. im not really in much of a hurry to sell it but its my daily driver and i hate putting miles on it.
I used to work at a dealer, so I had to learn the annoyanence of buying/selling cars. I wish more people would understand the business so they don't get ripped off at the dealer or get mad when people tell them they can't get what they want for their car.
It's amazing how much autotrader charges to put up a simple little ad, wish there is a chance to list something without paying more than $30. You can also try craigslist, but you usually end up getting tons of spam along with that too. In this market, you have to be patient if you want the maximum dollars. If you want to get money quickly, there is no way you can get what you want unless you get very lucky. SPeaking of autotrader, most autotrader ads are from dealer!
I just lost 4K trading in my car rather than selling it on my own, so I feel the pain too!
