Ebay Rimz

I'm just wondering what the quality of the rims for sale by the big merchants on ebay.

For example these wheels:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-Wh...spagenameZWDVW

That is an awesome price. Just not sure on the quality of the wheel.

the first ones wouldnt be too bad

theyre a bit lacking in the size department (7.5?) and they look like te37s

get at least 8.5 or 9.0

in the +30 to +35 offset range

mmmm depends what youre running

it is possible to stretch 215s on a 9 inch rim so the stock rx8 tyres would still fit on an 8.5 or 9.0

Should I list my wheels on ebay so you can have a good set?

Substandard wheels will die an early death.

I got my ADR's on ebay (18x8.5) and bought some new tires in the stock size and hey fit perfect IMO. Also the quality is just as good as anything...never have had any issues. $300 for the set is what I paid....can't go wrong. Plus if they did start to peel or whatever, I can refinish them myself, as I work in a body shop. Go me!

quality of ebay wheels are .. ok. integrity is the important part, and it is not always so good, but for 300 bucks a set, you can afford to replace them if anything happens.

I agree with rglbegl, unless your putting them on a banged up neon or civic, I'd look around for a decent brand rims.

so my rims belong on a civic? umm..no.

I'd rather not spend 3 grand on wheels and tires because its some big name brand, and spend the majority on go fast parts....hence my turbo.

there are decent brands out there that don't make you spend 3 Gs.

^^3 grand including tires that is too...Maybe you can get away with spending 1-2 grand with tires...but still...I just cant justify spending that much money on wheels at the moment.

I knew the look I wanted, the adr m-sports fit the bill, and they were cheap. I'm happy.

If it ever gets to the point where they do start to peel, I will refinish them either solid black or a gunmetal.

I wish I could afford your wheels. Putting over $1k into them atm is a no though unfortunately. Gimme the listing link tho if you do put them up. I would pay $1k but that would be my limit. =( Prolly not a good price for you i have no idea lol.

Get them, if they suck, put them back on ebay!! That's what I've done with parts I was dissappointed in, and I usually made more than I paid for them lol.

I do like them, but you should seriously find a set that's at least 8 inches wide. Those you posted are only 7.5 inches wide. That's smaller than stock. Bad idea IMHO. There are more out there for a decent price that are 18x8.5, like mine for example. Paid 300 plus shipping.

I think they look nice. I really like the way the guy in the picture painted the lips yellow. That looks really sick. I, too, would go with at least the stock width. Let us know how it goes with some pictures, if you get them. I've dropped serious coin on high quality rims and still had issues. Rims take a lot of abuse with road debris, so get what you like and deal with the issues as they arise...because they will arise regardless of what brand. Besides, the go fast bits for the RX-8 aren't cheap, so your extra money would be better spent on those those bits rather than crazy expensive wheels.

I've had my ADR's for awhile now with no issues whatsoever. I don't think the quality is bad at all. I'm happy with them and surprised in all honesty how well they've done.
