Nissan 200sx

My younger, oft confused brother is looking into a beater car to start to build up. Despite a few suggestions he managed to find a 1988 Nissan 200SX. He's in school with the budget of Delaware and found one for like 2500. I'm not familiar with them at all. Anyone have experience with them or know their reputation?

We used to have an 87 200SX with 120K+ miles. The thing ran like a champ!! Was in better mechanical shape than my old 240 and had less rattles than my new rx8 -_-. That is just one car out of a whole bunch of 200SX's though. Like the majority of cars, it depends on how the previous owners took care of it.

It was fun being fairly light with an FR layout........ the sohc truck motor doesnt have much power though haha

200SX is basically a 2 door Sentra. I'd go with a 240SX first, and if the 200SX then the SE-R.
