Which LOC, AND.... tell me what you think for my system?

In an effort not to break the bank.... here's what I am thinking of doing....

In the front, I'm going to have an Infinity 6.1 component set (seems popular, and I've been an Infinity fan for a while).

In the rear, just Infinity 6x9s, 3 ways so they have a tweeter. Like I said, not trying to break the bank!

I'm going to add a Infinity Perfect sub into a 1080 box (what size is that, anyway?).

I'm going to run a single amp, 5 channel. I am up in the air on this decision since I have no idea what amps are good, and what 5 channel won't break the bank.

Additionally, I need to know which LOC I should buy that performs well and again -- doesn't break the bank. It will be a totally stealth installation, the amplifier will be hidden under the rear deck (where the current amp seems to be, right?). I'll make sure all my wiring is neat and clean, and take some detailed pictures to guide people through the process.

Anyhoo.... much obliged for any input. I'm not exactly an expert but I've installed a system or two here and there, so I have an idea how to get started.

Thanks!

Find a Audio Control LC6 or LC6i + bass remote or the Audio Control 6xs and that takes care of the interface. Fusion makes a nicer small 5 channel amp, Eclipse makes my favorite 5 channel amp with the XA5000, a full range class D design that is just the right match of power. Buy something once, buy it right and keep it. Buy quality gear and enjoy it.

900 Watts seems overkill... I'm not going to run two subs, and I'm not one for needing heavy, heavy bass.

If i get 600 watts, that should probably do fine. 300 watts for the front and rears, another 300 for the sub.

I was thinking of these amps (don't worry, won't buy from Crutchfield!)

or

I want to stay around $300 for the amp, if possible. That Eclipse amp is like $550+.

Or even, this looks very nice:

And why that LOC in particular? I'm just curious... price is $150 so like I said -- BUDGET system. I have seen LOCs for like $30... I'm not looking to be able to customize it on the fly, just something simple and easy, that will be easy on the wallet and a reasonable upgrade in sound.

Not looking for the best things.

I agree w/ forbidden. Use the Eclipse XA5000. Don't worry about the 900watts. That is at 10% distortion so it is a number you won't be using anyway. Use it w/ a 2 ohm component set in the front, either 2 or 4 ohm in the rear and a quality 2 ohm sub in a simple enclosure. It will rock. Period. I seriously doubt the Infinity or JBL amps will compare.

Remember that speakers like good clean power. The more powerful the amp (within reason), the better it should sound. You can always turn the gains and the volume down to meet your taste, but you can only turn them up so far if you aren't satisfied.

Just my input, I have Infity Kappa Perfect 6.1 components in the door and Infinity Kappa 6x9's in the rear, all powered by a Kicker kx850.4. At the loudest possible volume that I can stand inside the car, it is extremely clear. There is, from what I can tell, almost zero destortion.

Just my .02

The XA5000 is rated at 50w x 4 + 450w x 1 (2ohm so choose either one dvc 4 ohm sub or two svc 4 ohm subs wired in parallel). You get what you pay for. If you put a weak link in the system (the $30 loc), the balance of the system is going to suffer. Your choice is whether or not you want to go basic and hope to be happy or do it once, properly the first time and have a highly predictable outcome.
