How is your TII coming along?

My dad bought a 86 TII when it first came out. Part of my weekend chores was washing and detailing his TII and my step mom's 1979 SA Lot's of rotary love in my house growing up!

I'm going to budget for $4 per gallon and 4 tanks of gas each way. I have not thought of a route yet but taking a quick glance at google maps looks like we could save about 70 miles going through Idaho. But if we go down I-5 then maybe we could meet up with members in NORCAL (if any are going).

That's what I was thinking too in terms of gas. When I googled it, there was a difference of an additional couple of hundred miles (one way) of going via I-5. So at least another tank of gas, but caravaning with others sounds like fun.

So... how hot is it gonna be down there in mid-June?

that depends on when you guys are leaving WA / OR
CA caravan rolls out to Vegas quite early friday morning.

If you guys are coming down the 5 the whole way, the only place I can see that would make sense would be Barstow. I should be there by around 8:30 am. We typically top off the tanks, take a quick stretch and then drive straight to Vegas.

The TII is doing great. It seems to be developing an issue with the AFM. Occasional hi-cup hesitation. But that's not really that big a deal.
I just need to figure out the boost that comes and goes. One minute I have 5 psi and then it's like I have 10 psi. But only after a trip down the freeway for about an hour.

The last time I drove from Seattle to Vegas was down the I-5 and over to Shasta and then Reno and work your way over from there through Death Valley into Las Vegas. Not freeway the whole way but some pretty country.

Here is the option I described above.

STEP 1

STEP 2

STEP 3

STEP 4

Total 1205 miles and about 22 hours. Like I said, it's not all interstate freeway. But you get to see a lot of beautiful countryside.

typically off the 15 fwy somewhere near the 210.
I chose that location because it's pretty central to everyone:
- OC peeps can go 91 to 15
- Inland Empire people can just commute to 15
- LA people can take the 10 to the 15 or 60 to 15

seems to work out quite nicely.

Gr8: it'll be in Ontatio, most likely the Ontario Mills Mall area.
we grabbed some BK breakfast last year, filled up the cars and hit the road. we'll talk more about it in the main thread or once we get closer to the Vegas Meet.
I don't want to hijack this thread too much, we've got to concentrate on getting more NW peeps.
