Bambi ruins my cars
alright. im bringing my cousin with since im driving from Seattle to Cail then to Vegas then to missouri back home from the navy. long drive haha. is this meet about the same time every year?? if so it would be cool if i could get some of the missouri 8's to make the drive with me next year/ this would deff be a event i would like to come to every year.. and i mean its VEGASS!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a for sure. Depends on who's still going when the time comes (cough... Shaun and Mike.. cough), but my preference is to meet the SoCalers in Barstow on Friday morning.

Announcement of the third annual Las Vegas "What Happens In Las Vegas" Meet. This event is open to all rotary vehicles
Date of the meet: June 18th and 19th, 2010
Friday evening gathering: In & Out Burgers on West Sahara
Friday evening party: When we leave the In & Out burger, we will caravan to "Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix (outdoor track) where we can ride the carts by the hour ($18.00 per hour) and a no host bar at Chili's restaurant bar.
Saturday drive meet point: In & Out Burgers on West Sahara 10am
Saturday evening party: Hoffbrahause , Las Vegas, 7pm
Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Washington & now Wyoming contact: Phil's 8
California contact: Jedi 54
Arizona & Texas contact: Easy_E1
We are posting early so that you can set this time aside. If you know your coming, let us know so we can plan.
To those of you that have not attended a Las Vegas meet, The over view will be:
Friday June 18th, 6pm - 8pm a general meet at the In & Out burger parking lot on West Sahara for introductions, freebies and offerings.If freebies are available, they will only be available as one to each car registered on this forum posting.
Friday evening party: When we leave the In & Out burger, we will caravan to "Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix (outdoor track) where we can ride the carts by the hour ($18.00 per hour) and a no host bar at Chili's restaurant bar.
Saturday June 19th at 10am we will meet at the In & Out Burger parking lot on West Sahara for a drive in the Las Vegas area. The drive is about two and one half hours in length, will cover 125 miles and will end at a local Hotel for lunch. There will be a several hour break for rest, recreation and sight seeing. The party group (all that wish to attend) will meet at the Hoffbrahause for beer, food and friendship from 7pm until ?
This years drive will be close in to Las Vegas and will be on all paved roads (unless the state or county do their thing again this year), some narrow roads and some twisty roads and some freeway. There will be vehicles within the group to offer assistance if you are in need.
The weather will again this year be very warm but not blazing hot (yet). Be sure you carry drinking water, a hat, vehicle water and oil. All places that we get together will be at places that have food so those that are still under drinking age will be welcome.

Due to a change in management at the Candlewood Suites Hotel, any room deals are now off. Sorry for this inconvenience but stuff happens.Currently we are looking for another Hotel that will put up rooms for a reduced Rate. We should be able to find something.

The origin of the expression go pound sand is from a longer expression, not to know (have enough sense to) pound sand down a rathole. Filling rat holes with sand is menial work, and telling someone to pound sand down a hole is like telling them to go fly a kite.

Phil... when I said me and Michele have reservations, it means that me and UrbanOcho/Michele from SoCal are rooming together. I'm driving down solo so far. I may have a passenger when I get there tho.. no need to add extra headcount though - you already have this person on the list.

yup, driving back on Sunday is perfectly fine since there are no events officially planned for that day. Some of us will have brunch before leaving town or do some shopping but it's kind of a free-for-all day.
